Beautiful location in the nature to reload your batteries :) Birds everywhere, very lovely hikes on the property, view on the starts from our great room. And not to forget a great breakfast with amazing homemade jams. The restaurants offers some nice options, but really venture out to the local restaurant in the surrounding for the full Portugese experiance! This location is great if you whish to have 'craziness' from the Algarve around the corner, while reloading in a natural environment.

Loved the decor and the views, a rustic vibe. The location was about half an hour from Albufeira. It was a remote quiet area of the countryside with stunning views. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and a meal in the beautiful restaurant!

Food menu is limited and too expensive for that sort of restaurant. In a Quinta like this, I had expected warmer and more personal hospitality services.

Love the wilderness where it is situated and the panorama view from the room with the big window.

A great place to relax, rooms decorated simply and with taste, clean (cleaned daily) and smelling. There is the restaurant available at the property serving delicious dishes made from local products - healthy and organic. During your stay, possibility to visit the farm, talk to the hosts, swim in the turquise lake. Amazing owners who promote living in harmony with nature. Helpful staff, especially thanks our favourite waiter from Nepal :) Amazing place!

Staff people are good but could be more proactive and passionate. The last day we discovered from the owner during the tour that breakfast could be served also on the other property of the family, closer to the coast.

Wonderful Place in the countryside. I highly recommend the farm tour with the property owner in order to better understand the history and the "Mission" of the owners

the wasps! we couldn’t eat outside as we’re plagued by wasps, hope you can find a solution soon as otherwise everything was just perfect

we loved the farm tour and sampling the fruit and produce, also loved the food, the beautiful lake to swim in and the sunsets over the farmland.

Would have been good to find a way to control the bees in the dining area. Having some bicycles onsite would have also been appreciated.

If you are looking for something chic, rustic/rural, isolated, and classy, this is it. Excellent kitchen as well with good wine list. Gorgeous property with a working farm, pool, etc. Very friendly staff.

The pool was a bit cold!!

It has a lovely aura of peace and tranquility. The staff are all lovely. The rooms were simple and tasteful. The beds were comfortable with good pillows and the shower is great!! The food in the restaurant was fantastic.

Our stay at Quinta do Freixo was the best thing about our whole trip in Portugal! When you arrive you can already see the beautiful domain where it is situated. The people working there are very kind and always very willing to help. Each morning you get a delicious breakfast with produce from the domain. I really recommend taking the farm tour arround the domain which helps you to appreciate even more the ammount of effort that is put into the whole project!
