Wonderful hotel in a great location,close to many restaurants, and access to the city walls. Unfortunately the restaurant is not open Monday and Tuesday so we didn't get to sample the food there, but the breakfast was generous and bacon and eggs cooked to order, with many other options such as fruit, yoghurt and cereal as well as fresh rolls, ham and cheese. The staff were friendly and helpful. In particular we would like to thank Carla for all the local knowledge and recommendations and most importantly for assisting us in getting alternative transport for our onwards journey during the train strike, saved us a world of stress. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Obidos.

we had a room next to the reception and there was a loud alarm/ring tone quite often at night. it turned out at 3 am that it was the printer… the check in and check out process was quite long

The breakfast was a little simple to us. Also the fact that you had to pre-order instead of a buffet was for not ideal.

We loved the very friendly staff who, despite my almost total lack of Portuguese, managed to help me to understand everything and also gave us a tipple of the local Cherry Liqueur, Ginja de Obidos which was very tasty. The breakfast was really nice with freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee. Rooms were lovely with a balcony and air con. Loved it all.

no buffet, thus limited choice, and low quantity (for example, seasonal fruit for two people + a baby were two thin slices of four different fruit), no parking available and even parking out front just to bring your luggage in means driving on narrow streets full of tourists

Very cosy bed, spacious room, great terrace, cot for the baby was already installed upon arrival, just as the baby chair for breakfast, clean and well equipped bathroom, breakfast had decent quality

We had no hot water...and after seeking the help of hotel staff, it took about 20mins of letting the water run before it heated up. We also had some very loud, and inconsiderate neighbors who came home late and we're yelling in the corridor for about 45minutes

they tried to tell me directions to actually be able to park in front of the hotel inside the castle walls but they were not clear on the map, in the written directions or on google. and easy fix
