A nice surprise awaited us at this small hotel. The rooms are pretty basic but the beds are soft and very comfortable. The shower is big and plenty of hot water was available. The swimming pool was an extra bonus. The breakfast was exceptional! The orange juice were from the trees growing beside the hotel and the preserves were homemade. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

To stay for only one night. ;-D I would have loved to stay longer.

We were three people staying in a triple room. It was clean and spacious with a bottle of water for each person. No coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom was spacious. Everything was as described on the amenities list. We drove by car and parking space was available infront of the hotel. We went for a walk along the river and was amazed by the amount of fish, birds and fruit trees that we saw along the river. There is a wonderful restaurant just next door. A very nice breakfast was included in the price.

Lovely standalone apartment with river facing balcony. Shutters to keep it dark, nice and quiet, just birdsong. Fantastic buffet breakfast, and the friendly host will bring you extra eggs. Fresh fruit, home made jams and cake too. 2 minutes walk from the station. Probably easy parking if you need it. Aircon worked, bathroom good.

Lovely peaceful location. Great breakfast sitting out on the terrace. Used local train to explore the area. Restaurant next door was fantastic for evening meal with views over the river.

The hot water was not quite as hot as it should be!

wonderful quiet location on edge of River Douro. Beautiful walk available along “towpath” with wild flowers, ospreys etc. Why only two stars? it has two lounges, two dining rooms, air conditioning, hair driers, en suite facilities….and lovely owner and staff. Next door by the station is a very interesting restaurant with unusual regional dishes at very reasonable prices.

It would be good if the hotel did evening meals as well. They have plenty of space to accommodate this.

This hotel is a real gem, especially if you like being in the wilderness. It is so peaceful with many beautiful walks nearby. The staff are wonderful & ready to give you help to make your stay pleasant. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace with stunning views of the river. Good restaurants on your doorstep & easy to get to on the train from Porto.

I highly recommend this hotel. The facilities are very nice and the owners were exceptional! Breakfast was very delicious. Later that night we sat on the terrace with wine and enjoyed the beautiful views of the river and surrounding wine country. Tua is a very cute town.

You could explain in the web site the hotel is next to the station. I thought I had to get a taxi up the mountain. Instead I only had to walk across thd tracks. Maybe I missed that bit of info.

The view was wonderful. The breakfast was amazing, scrambled eggs as well as homemade cake and fresh orange juice. Only my walk around the town was a big confusing. The diagram was hard to follow.

This is our second visit to Casa do Tua it is a beautiful location and very scenic. The breakfast is excellent with many choices and the lady serving was very friendly and accommodating There is a very good restaurant next door and the hotel is easily accessible on the train station

Location. Location. Location!!!!! Fantastic helpful staff. Cleanliness 100%! Apartment, swimming pool, breakfast… ALL ABSOLUTELY GREAT! I usually don’t give this kind of feedback so positive! It deserves it! Absolutely PARADISE!
