The walls were really thin therefore we were woken up through the night when other guests were coming back in.

The breakfast staff were superb! Friendly and attentive. Our flight from the UK was delayed by 2 hrs which meant we did not arrive into Lisbon until 12:30am. However, this was not a problem for the hotel and someone was at the reception desk ready to welcome us! Thank you for an amazing stay in Lisbon!

The hotel has an old world feeling about it. Our room was lovely looking onto to the main road and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and available to help with any questions. There was a good selection for breakfast including the famous 'Pastel de nata'.

The room was perfectly clean and the staff very welcoming. Even though the street was quite busy, I didn't hear any noise inside and could sleep perfectly well. The breakfast was delicious, filling, and with much choice and everyone working there was polite and ready to help and give touristic information with kindness. A wonderful stay overall!

I loved everything! Charming historic building, beautifully decorated and furnished. I loved my room: it was large, stylish and very comfortable. Large and perfectly clean bathroom. The location of the hotel is also ideal: just a few minutes north of the charming Bairro Alto with restaurants etc. Across the street from the beautiful church of Sao Mamede (take a look inside). And just 3 or 4 minutes walk from metro station Rato. On my next visit to Lissabon I will definitely stay here again!

Decoration, location, super clean, friendly stuff, Decent breakfast, faire price, internet works really well. We love everything about this place and we are coming back to stay at this hotel when we come back to Lisbon. Muito obrigada.

The location was very good - underground station very near as well as good bus service to all the attractions. we also walked to the Avenida da Liberdade which is a really posh shopping street, The staff was absolutely wonderful : both the reception and the cleaning ladies were helpful and polite. The atmosphere of an old converted tenement house plus all the modern facilities make this place an unforgettable experience.

Our bathroom was lovely, but not so big. Breakfast was good, but not unforgettable.

The hotel is beautiful, with azulejos decorating some of the rooms and the hall. It's right near Rato subway station, and not so far from Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara. Also a special Cervejaria is nearby. The staff is very kind and breakfast is good (there were pasteis de nata, too).

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely, comfortable and very clean. I loved the decor of my room - true to the historic nature of the hotel. I loved the location. Perfect for walking around the city, and very close to the metro station. I would stay here again the next time I'm in Lisbon.

Great Location, Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the view. Staff was accommodating, making sure we had a small refrigerator for my medicine and a bathtub, which is not often found in newer hotels. Close to a Metro station and right on a trolly line, good restaurants are close by. Charming historic hotel.

This was not an inexpensive hotel Andy there was a smell in the bathroom that’s hard to describe but very unpleasant. I told the staff and they worked to eliminate it. They were able to clear it up the first time but when it came back they tried again and they couldn’t remove it. I think it was just an old house - from the 1700s and the plumbing not the best.

The location was terrific which added to the rating, breakfast was significant and the staff were always helpful. I had an accident while there and the staff were very concerned about my welfare and Manager was very helpful and caring.
