Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Stayed here for just one night and it was perfect. Isabel was kind and extremely helpful. She wasn't available to meet me for my check in but this was no problem as her instructions were clear and easy to follow. The room was clean and had everything I needed, with a cute little terrace outside. The breakfast was delicious and the weather was warm enough to sit outside in a small, peaceful garden area. Casa de Musica (metro) was an easy walk away, with access to the city. I would definitely recommend!

GermanyOur stay with Isabel was excellent. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the pension was better than some 5-star hotels. Our bedroom was at the front of the house on the road, nevertheless, it was very quiet, We had a slanting roof which restricted your headroom slightly, but you soon got used to it. The pension was well situated, it was only about a 7-minute walk from the Metro and also 7 minutes into the center of the village, with plenty to see. I highly recommend this pension, we will stay there again.

Domus Duorum really was one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in. I would call it a home from home. The delightful Isabel and the other lovely ladies who helped, were always ready to pamper us in any way possible. Starting with the breakfast which was really tops, everything you could ever want and Isabel would also personally cook you bacon and eggs or pancakes. There was always fresh fruit and juice, fresh bread butter and jam, cheeses and hams and different cakes and biscuits every day plus of course hot coffee and tea. Then the property itself was so clean, tidy and welcoming- as I said just like coming home - with all those little touches that make it feel just right. Isabel also informed us if the places to visit and where to eat, in fact she recommended a local family run restaurant call Rosa da Porto just round the corner which had great local cooking at very competitive prices. I also felt Casa da Musica was a great place to be based as you’re away from the hustle and bustle of the city and between the city and coast. Great transport as near the metro and buses that take you to Porto, the coast and the airport. I would thoroughly recommend Domus Duorum and hope to return very soon .

United StatesWe had the best stay at this B&B! BEST BREAKFAST we have ever had at a B& B! Eggs (scrambled or fried with bacon and ham and mushrooms, depending on the day and if you want them, a basket full of delicious bakery bread served with butter and jam, a plate of fresh fruit, coffee, juice, a platter of cheese and meats, pastries, even yogurt and granola or pancakes also, If we wanted them, were offered. And a salad one day, just when I needed it. Isabel the owner truly goes out of her way, and she always asks if you want any more. Isabel is also extremely helpful, gave great restaurant recommendations one called Rosa very close by. If you are a walker, you won’t even need to use public transportation. We mostly walked everywhere but when it rained once and when it was late and we were rushing somewhere, we took an Uber, which was very reasonable. The metro is also close by.

The location is just a few minutes from the metro station (direct connection to the airport and Campanhã train station). The breakfast was fabulous, abundant with a large selection. We had it outside in a lovely patio. Isabel is a great host and a nice personality. She was very helpful and answered all the questions. Staying in Domus Duorum was a great experience.

Wonderful stay, very cute and cozy accommodation that is exceptionally clean and has everything you need. The host was wonderful and extremely friendly and kind. We are vegetarian and they made sure we had great breakfast options as well so that was very much appreciated. The property is very close to the metro train which easily gets you into the center of town in 2-3 stops. the upside is that the surrounding area of the property is very quiet which helps light sleepers like ourselves.

GermanyThe very good reviews convinced us to book our one-week-stay at Domus Duorum. Many guests mentioned Isabel in their reviews , and they did it for the right reasons! She made our stay like we would have visited our aunt in Porto. She prepared us a delicious breakfast every day and we chatted a lot. Not like a host - guest chat, but like an open human being to human being chat. About the room: it was cleaned every day, it was spacious enough, we had our own bathroom. Air conditioner should be mentioned as well - even if we used it once, because we were lucky enough and the weather was not that hot. We were allowed to use the refrigerator in the kitchen, make a coffee there once in a while or just use glasses, plates and such. The metro station ''Casa da Musica'' is only few hundred meters away, and from there almost - if not all - metros were bringing us to ''Trindade'' station, which is only a few minutes by foot from the city centre. Nearby is a supermarket, a kind of mall (Bom Sucesso) with a nice food court, and few other coffee shops. Our return flight was in the evening, and we were allowed to check-out later than usual and were allowed to stay in the kitchen / terrace / living room as long as we wished. Porto exceeded our expectations, and a big part of this was our stay at Domus Duorum. Maybe we'll come back one day, but till then we'll always remember Isabel and the very nice week spent there! Thank you, Isabel, and please send our regards to Aurora as well! :-)

SlovakiaWe had a great time in Porto thanks to host Isabel! It's definitely one of the best B&B we've ever stayed and we are very gratefull we had chance to get to know her. She prepared for us amazing 5 star delicious breakfast every morning and she also took into account our intolerances. Accommodation is located near the city center, Metro station is only 5 min walk away, Casa da Música also 5 min walk away and Mercado Bom Sucesso (great marketplace with local food) around 10 minutes. The rooms are small but absolutely sufficient and very clean.
