The room color was just a bit too green.

We really well catered here at Emaj. Not only was the hotel incredibly central, the room brilliantly big but the the staff went to extra lentgh to make sure that they were even gluten free options for us at breakfast, which has not been common in Potugal.

It was a converted bank & due to that there were very many levels which was a little strange.

Location is perfect in the centre of Guimarães. The room is nice with space to move around. The hotel was a bank and was a historical place. It has been renovated especially the bathroom area. I guess the table in the room was the old desk used by the teller which if true is amazing. It has double window to ensure the room was quiet even facing the main street. Breakfast included was fine.

Very nice hotel directly downtown Guimaraes - easy to reach, perfect base to walk in and out of downtown. We had two very nice, clean rooms with lots of lights towards the Western side and enjoyed our stay very much.

Staff is absolutely welcoming and they gave us lots of tips. Surroundings are very nice and the hotel is located in the pure centre. We never used our car while there.

One thing which is not good for a lovely hotel is that the breakfast room needs updating a bit dark and dinghy. Food good choices mostly continental but pancakes and omelette made to order coffee from a machine not good .

Lovely hotel in excellent location stayed in 301 .Air conditioning is very good. Bath and separate shower .Bed comfy and large 2 comfy chairs and a very tv ideal for when it was too hot in the 40s one thing there's a large step up into the hotel and have code to open late at night the problem is you have to stand on the step to reach up to put your code in .another thing you had to get out of bed to turn lights off and on.

toilet paper is bad quality. they do clean. but it's just a tidy up. I spilled coffee on the floor on the 1st day and it was not cleaned by the cleaning crew. The breakfast had a good variety. however a lot of the food was stale. Also don't think a dining room should be carpeted. I do think the room should of had a bath.

We traveled with a baby stroller and to access the room we needed to take some stairs which made it a bit difficult. It was also our fault because we didn't warn the hotel about that fact.

It was too hot outside to really enjoy the city, so go there only when the peak temperatures are below 30. We could have used a small light for night, as all lights was super bright.

The hotel was in a wonderful location. staff helpful and courteous. The only issue was there was some type of flying insect that was in our room, particularly the bathroom that made us uncomfortable. The room was spacious and comfortable otherwise.

- Double-Bed and Twin-Beds options are in the same quote in the booking process. This makes it hard to specify the customer's preference (more so if the 'special request' text box is already in use). Twin beds was our final result - not the end of the world, but not ideal either; - Not possible to access the restaurant or breakfast facilities; again, not all that bad for travellers who enjoy breakfast in bed.

Breakfast was delivered to the rooms in the morning due to covid. I prefer to go to the restaurant than eat in the room, but it was all lovely with a large selection of choices.

Excellent location - right in the centre, couldn't have been better! Staff were friendly, everything was clean. Bathrobes provided, comfy beds and air conditioning.
