How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything- this hotel exceeded our expectations. From the moment you walked in from the last moments of your stay. Can’t say enough the staff serve with a smile. They always say yes! We met the Italian owners. They are so passionate about their hotel. And it shows! Deborah the owner took her time to talk to us. The take date of their staff and their guests. The hotel is soooo beautiful. For me it was a 20. We will be back. Had a message with Rita- omg.. she was amazing, received a facial that was the best facial I’ve had!! The breakfast was amazing shout to André Silva! Oh and our afternoon teas- the best by Diogo- mint, ginger lemon!! Thank you to all the staff front desk.. so helpful Francesco, Ana all the staff. Thank you

Location was amazing and allowed for exploration on foot of the older parts of Lisbon rather than taxi. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The pool area was great except the floor is REALLY slippery and rather dangerous so needs replacing. This is the area around the inside pool.
The breakfast with local goods was exceptional and the staff were brilliant from arrival to departure. The whole hotel was very clean and we ate there in the evening and it was the best food w had in Porto....even the chef came out and spoke to us! We were celebrating and ere kindly upgraded. A special mention for Hugo who couldn't do enough for you.

The doorman/concierge, looked unsettled, not very helpful, not clean shaved or neat in appearance, looked sloppy, the same to the room to deliver our bags in an authoritarian way, and simply not nice at all. The Bar staff needs some training as well, sat outside at the terrace by the pool without being approached for a good 20 minutes
Amazing location, the suite was simply heaven, beautifully decorated, and probably one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in. Breakfast was fantastic and beautifully catered and the staff was super nice and helpful. The front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful.

The only slight minus was we had to be wait quite a while to be seated for breakfast on our first morning and the lady gave us no explanation as to what to do. It did appear that the management were onto this by our last day though.
Beautiful hotel, very nicely renovated, gorgeous room, great bathroom, lovely pool, amazing breakfast, staff very helpful, good location.

The breakfast was great, the staff was excellent. Very knowledgeable and and friendly. Hotel was very centrally located. It was very easy to walk around. Train ride to the wine country was fun, wine was great bought several bottles. Our last night we ate down at the Duram river, never had a bad meal while we were there.

It was faultless!
Fantastic hotel, great food and very friendly staff. Bedroom was spacious with luxury bedding, towels and toiletries. Wonderful outdoor area with pool and sun loungers, a glass of sparkling wine was offered to guests during the afternoon. We would definitely come back to this hotel!

We couldn't stay longer
The breakfast was lovely, I was there celebrating my birthday and they brought me over a little cake which was really thoughtful. The interior of the hotel and room is beautiful and the pool is lovely and relaxing. Great location and really friendly staff - would 100% recommend and would stay again if we get the chance! :)

I honestly cannot find any fault with this hotel.
A fabulous hotel, where nothing was too much trouble. Stunning room, the warmest pool I have ever been in, super-friendly staff and the most beautiful display of choices at breakfast I have ever seen.
