Windows could not be opened and the air in the room at times was stale.

The hotel was a vintage property with 90 years of history which gave it a lot of appeal and character. It was centrally located in the historical center of town and within an easy walking distance of most of the major sights. All of the staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome.

It's a period property so a bit tired in some respects overall, but that's absolutely fine. Bit of a dull bedroom which could do with an element of colour - but minor matter. Excellent overall.

The location of the hotel is incredible. Every major touristic point is like 5 minutes walking from the Hotel. Crew is amazing, very supportive and friendly.

The shower box is a little tight. If you are a big person, maybe you can have some difficulty to move inside it. And breakfast could be better for the €10 charge.

Hotel Aliados is in a great central location which is easy to get to from the airport. I really enjoyed the 'old school' feel of the of the hotel which is steeped in history. The staff were so friendly and welcoming (shout out to Tomas!). I will definitely be staying again on my next visit!

I think the aircon needs to be cleaned. This is an older building, hence squeaky floors.

Check in with Katerina was easy and quick and she was very helpful throughout the stay and the room I had was great and quiet (as I had requested when booking). the metro station of Aliados was 1 minute away and it's 1 stop to Trindade which is the station you need to go back and forward to the airport.

I had breakfast included and although it was continental, it was a little bit basic, so possibly better to have this outside.

The hotel is in a great location and very close to the Metro. It felt safe walking about the area late at night. The room was clean as was the bathroom. I found the reception staff incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The reception staff were outstanding. Catherine and Isabel were the friendliest staff that I met in my two weeks in Portugal. Isabel even loaned me her personal umbrella when I went out on yet another rainy day. They worked effectively to get the heat regulated in my room and scheduled a taxi for me to take me to the train station. I loved talking with them every day.

The much of central old town area is torn up for the construction of a subway line in October 2022. The room was smaller than the pictures make it look but this is to be expected anymore.

The building is historic and very cool. The location is perfect and an easy walk to all the places you want to go and see. Plenty of food nearby. Walking to the train station is easy. The Douro river is a little further of a walk but incredible things to see during the entire walk so it's a great walk.
