The cottage was amazing! Perfect for our friend group of 3 people. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we might need. The grounds were beautiful and there was ample parking for our car. The staff were helpful and responsive and the breakfast was amazing.

We had the Hills 2 cottage, whose opening is against the cedars, and there are no other windows on the sea side, making the cottage very dark. The furnishings are rather old-fashioned.

Beautiful location on the west side of the island. Wonderful, very clean pool, with a breathtaking view of the sunset. Breakfast served in your cottage. The cottages are close to the farol, which is a magnificent viewpoint for the sunset.

We regretted that we didn’t have a seaview from our first chalet but the manager changes us to another chelet with beautiful sea view the next day.

• Wi-fi was not great. Enough for browsing, but video calls were lagging. • Kitchen was lacking sharp knives, but we bought and left one behind :)

• Cozy wooden cottage with panoramic windows. You can just stay inside for the whole time and not regret a thing :) • Amazing views, especially from the infinity pool (although the water was cold at this time of year). • Breakfast has gluten-free options, which was life-saving for my wife who is allergic. • Daily cleaning done by very nice and caring employees. • Seamless check-in procedure, you just pick up the key from a safe box. • Convenient parking for 5 cars.

It was moderately windy, and that made the house very loud at night - a problem for light sleepers, but also perhaps only because we were the house highest up.

The location was wonderful, exactly what we wanted - sunset, nature, views. The service was perfect too, friendly people, quick responses, and very nice breakfast.

The breakfast was good and definitely a treat getting it directly to your room, perhaps an overview of what’s available for each day or having a bit of choice would be nice.

Amazing location looking over the ocean, definitely perfect to watch sunsets! We loved our little cottage. Great to have a kitchen with four hobs and the necessary things to cook (olive oil, salt, pepper, plenty of utensils). The heated pool was lovely, also looking out into the horizon. Easy to collect keys and plenty of space to park by the cottage. Very romantic spot, was sad to leave!

Cleaning can be more careful on some corners there is a quite old dirt. The cottage Valley #2 where we were staying requires some restoration work. Due to humidity there is some mold on the corners. Also AC should be cleaned The sing on the main road is great but the one with the property number needs to be restored. We missed the turn in the evening.

Quiet and cozy place. Warm swimming pool. Sun-beds of the terrace Breakfast delivered to the house. Food quality is great. I would call it light breakfast. Very comfortable beds. If you are bored or there is rain outside you can watch Netflix :) paid by the owner. All you need to cook is available in the kitchen Restricted access to the territory.

The location and view was stunning. Spacious, clean and private. So luxurious! A delicious breakfast was delivered promptly each morning by a very polite lady 😀 The kitchenette was very much appreciated. The full glass wall was amazing, letting natural light and air flow through the apartment. Netflix was also set up and logged in which was a nice tough. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. Check in was a breeze too. High recommend!

We loved our stay at Madeira Sunset Cottage. Everything was as described. We will definitely come back if we ever visit Madeira again. Our favorite part: the delicious breakfast in the morning and the heated pool with ocean view.

We loved our stay at the Madeira sunset cottage. A lot of privacy, great view, nice breakfast brought to your cottage. If you don't like big hotels chain and prefer to stay in more private accomodations like us, this is a great place. And the girls working there were super nice.

Everything was very nice and cozy. Felt like home.

Very nice staff and beautiful cottage. The breakfast was nice and had bread, fruits, juice and coffee. Also if there was anything missing, the staff was always very helpful. It’s a very nice spot to explore the west and north coast of Madeira. Be sure to have a car though, since restaurants and supermarkets, but also hikes and lookout points are in quite a distance.

The cottage is quite remote, with not really much to see at a walking distance. Mind that it's located in a 'ghost' village with many abandoned houses. I would only recommend it if you have a car. We found it rather too expensive, though other people might see more value in it.

The cottage is very comfortable and the view is impressive! The breakfast was also of good quality. Although we barely used the facilities, the barbecue by the heated pool is very inviting. We didn't meet the host, but the self-checkin was super easy.

I can not say anything but AMAZING things about this property. Luisa (sorry I think I spelled your name wrong) seriously just the best she booked taxis for us to go to pico always answered messaged promptly, when we weren’t gunna be there in the morning for breakfast she made sure we got our breakfast the night before. AND LET ME TALK ABOUT BREAKFAST gosh it was so good we wish they offered dinners! This place is rurallll but don’t get scared it’s such a perfect location near all the great stuff. The city of Funchal is not great at all so if your hesitant don’t be just come here. However make sure to read the directions carefully or else you will go down some steep roads and end up on the wrong side of the property! 10/10 places lve ever been too. Thank you for having us
