Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandThe wardrobe was not very practical to distribute the clothes, as there is no trays.
We had an upgrade to a privileged room, the view of the São Bento station was beautiful, very quite during the night and we were able to block sunlight with the curtains, amazing to sleep! They had products from Nuxe in the toilet, very good smell. The size of the room it was good for a cople. In the rooftop we were able to enjoy the view of Porto. The location was the excellent!

United StatesInitialy we couldn't find the room numbers - they are on the floor outside the rooms, and the hallways were a bit dim.
We stayed at this hotel in 2019 and chose to return. We liked the location and the ability to be able to walk to many places, including restaurants for dinner, although it is up the hill from the riverfront. The room was spacious and clean. We chose to visit some of the local pastelarias for breakfast instead of eating breakfast at the hotel. The staff was helpful in calling a taxi for us on the day we left to take us to the train station. Overall we liked staying here.

United KingdomRoom very small with very little surface space to put anything (toiletries, medication, etc). OK for the 2 nights we stayed but would have driven me mad for much longer.
Great location for access to central areas. Taxi fare from Porto Campanhã train station was about €10. Member of staff who checked us in gave us a city map and marked where we were along with restaurant suggestions, sights, enormous food market - very helpful.

CanadaThis was out of the hotels control, but we booked that hotel as it was on the tram line which would make getting around easy. Unfortunately the line was closed due to metro construction.
We arrived early and were checked in, however the room we were in was next to kitchen vent fan. We asked to be relocated, and they accommodated us the next day of our 5 day stay. This room was larger, and was a vast improvement All in all very comfortable. The young man at the desk who helped us was very accommodating.
