Incredibly elegant reception rooms along the first floor - like staying in a royal palace. Modern bedrooms are so comfortable and equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge! A Terra restaurant served a delicious meal but the vegetarian options are rather limited. The spa was amazing - only accommodates 8 people but if you’re one of them you will be completely relaxed. This is a great find.

The hotel has a nice spa that we hoped to use. But the hotel seems attractive to families and there didn't seem to be adult only hours. As such, we didn't find a quiet time to use it.

The breakfast was great, the room was very comfortable and the staff was super attentive. Great location as a base to explore the Aldeias de Xisto.

Not everything is perfect about the service: they won’t give you a wine list at dinner in the restaurant if not asked to, and might forget something. Spa is basically a playground for children - no chance to relax in peace

This hotel is stunning. Clean and well cared for, the staff clearly care about the hotel and it's reputation. Breakfast was delicious and had great variety. I would recommend Octant Lousa to any and all travellers. Wow.

Dear reader Even though I don't usually give reviews because they are usually subjective, I would like to give one now. I stayed at this beautiful hotel together with a work colleague in CW12 2024. We were given a very warm welcome, almost like a family, and you could see how everyone looked after the guests. The breakfast was excellent and you got everything you needed the homemade bread or the rolls were very tasty. The restaurant was also very good, for the first time in my life I ate goat, a speciality, I can only recommend trying it. All in all it was a great time on site and I highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice. As we went in Febuary it was a delight to sit in the glazed covered terrace, reading a book or just having an afternoon drink.

Absolutely everything!! Brilliant check-in from staff - friendly and warm welcoming. It was super cold outside but it was really nice and warm inside. The rooms were really lovely and super comfortable. There was a small, really thoughtful gift on the bed when I arrived. There was also a really lovely body scrub to use (similar to what is used in the spa apparently). The breakfast was brilliant. There was good choice of products: bread, sweets, cheese and everything was top-notch quality. I don't particularly like being served at the table to get coffee but it worked well. These little touches plus the brilliant breakfast make me want to come back!

Very friendly staff !!! Superb breakfast with a lot of variety also for people with restrictions, very fresh and beautifully presented! Beautiful castle with history ,nicely renovated and decorated ! Didn’t use the spa but looked good. Very enjoyable stay!

The hotel is amazing with an excellent breakfast and cocktails. Bed and pillows so comfortable you could sleep all day. What is even more amazing about this place is the staff. Always smiling, helpful and easy going in the best way. They were so helpful in helping us get our delayed luggage and also in ordering a cab early in the morning and facilitating an early breakfast so we could catch our plane. If you are ever in Lousa, you should definitely book this hotel and stay there.

The hotel is very beautiful and very tastefully furnished. The room was very nice and quiet and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. The staff were very professional and super friendly, in particular Diana Monaia and Mariana in the reception. I highly recommend the Octant Lousa.

The room was fine, but the blue decor was not 100 percent to my taste. I think next time I'd be happier to stay in the older part of the hotel and not the newish wing.

The spa was under renovation .

The stuff was very nice and very helpful and friendly , they gave us a nice gift with bottle of wine. They have very good restaurant and the breakfast was varied and delicious. I recommend bike rental at the hotel , there have good bikes.

The room we stayed in was extremely humid and the curtains had mold on them. we think is because the bathroom's fan was not working properly.

The hotel is gorgeous, the stuff very helpful and friendly. We loved the restaurant at dinner/breakfast. Overall we had a great experience.

Absolutely everything about this hotel was more than exceptional ! From the staff that was constantly on the look out for your comfort, to the food, to the most wonderful breakfast buffet, to the bedroom. We were welcomed with beautiful hats and a honey scrub that was incredible for the skin! It’s the most beautiful palace hotel
