The upper section of the room door was frosted glass which meant light shone in whenever there was movement outside.

This is my second year staying at Orange Terrace Hostel , a beautiful hostel , a perfect location, friendly staff, and great activities . I'm definitely coming back again .

Now to the negative aspects The terrace closes early if i could remember probably at 22.00 and therefore you would have to find something else to do or be forced to go into the city just to be amuzed. Futher,their kitchen also closes at 23.00 which is not really a big issue unless you get back from clubbing or any activity at night and really want to make something quick to Quench your hunger.

I have been to various hostels and this is by far the best i have been to. From hygiene to the personality of the personnel and location, orange terrace hostel in my candid opinion ranks top in albufeira. To begin with It is in close proximity to the centre of the old town by walking distance and also to the beach. Also its a hostel that stayed clean the whole time. I have never seen so much effort put into maintaining a hostel so clean for its guests and its one of the reasons i wouldnt mind visiting that hostel again. Secondly, it is a hostel with very friendly personnel whom are always ready to help and give you tips on how to make your stay enjoyable. The personnel are available 24/7 to cater to your needs. Further this is a hostel that always thinks about the wants of the guests, for example if you in need of mat or even an umbrella to use at the beach, this hostel will provide. The beds are all connected to charging ports to be able to charge your phones and gadgets as well as planks to stores litte things. Theres also a well equipped kitchen at the hostel if you prefer to cook as well. Also theres sometimes left over drinks, food or ingredients from already departed guests that you can use for yourself. My final positive take on this hostel is how it has been set up. This hostel is well organised and structured. I was travelling solo and there were also other solo travellers but the atmosphere this hostel creates ensures that you meet new people and are able To do fun stuff with the new people you meet. At this hostel, there is a rooftop terrace very spacious with rest sofas to create a vibe for its guests and there are interesting games you could engage in with everyone and most importantly their drinks are very affordable. Overall, the experience at orange terrace hostel is worth every penny and i would recommend it to anyone visiting albufeira. They even have a cute dog that you can pet and likes to play with everyone at the hostel.

Great staff, lovely clean place, great location, loved the kayak tour in benagil. The rooftop is great amd so nice to have a bar for just the guests. Andre was very welcoming and great fun

There's only a ceiling fan in the center of the room and the air doesn't hit the bed (at least not the one I've got, top of a bunk bed). So if you're going during hot summer, prepare to suffer a bit.

You have to pay for everything extra… towel - 2,50€, shower after check out- 5€ (in other hostels they allowed me to use the facilities even after check out and I could use also a shower for free) I paid 45€/1 night and not even a towel was included in the price…

I've been in really good hostels, and this is definitely one of them. The location and the crew are amazing, they are cleaning every day, and the hostel is a dream. Nice well equipped kitchen, two terraces, one of them is a rooftop with sofas and with a bar. Maybe it's not that cheaper than apartments, as you would expect, but once in your life you have to experience the hostel life(style) and this is a perfect place for that.

No breakfast. Kitchen is closed from 11h to 13h. The terrace close too early. All the staff lives there constantly, so it kind of feels like we are living in their space, so the vibe is weird sometimes.

Very clean. The activities such as the cliff jumping were nice. We could take some toys/umbrella for the beach. Loved the dog❤️

Bit of a party hostel, bar upstairs which isn’t loud but means everyone in the evenings goes and drinks up there until 11 when they’re kicked out and then they go party in town and get back at all times in the morning and are loud Bed could be more comfortable, metal bunk beds also mean if someone is moving around all night you feel it Curtains in the beds would make a big difference

No air conditioning, you had to leave the door open all night. People could walk into your room whenever. Not much floor space to open a suitcase. Shared bathrooms and showers. Smell from the toilets was horrid. You were not allowed to consume your own alcohol.

Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, social spaces were great with lounging areas. The kitchen was big and was well equipped. Places to hang out your wet washing. Filtered cold water fountain! They offered there own tours to kayak around Benigal caves and more etc. you had a small locker in your room. Felt safe as there was 24hour supervision. hostel dog :) there was also a bar

I loved the bar, the overall vibe of the common areas was gorgeous. There is a very sweet dog that hangs around the Hostel. The staff are all amazing!

The property is small, quaint and well kept. Perfect for a place to sleep while exploring Albufeira. they provide all the necessities.

I really can’t think of anything… and I really am trying to think of something I didn’t like…. Ok I didn’t like leaving 🙄

I liked everything from the minute I walked in… even thought it was 1:30am. Warm welcome shown around where everything was… very open and friendly reception at all hours …. There are rules and they are kept to for the safety and security of the building (I liked that a lot) the rooms were comfortable beds (and mattresses) comfortable slept very well. Went to the caves (kayak) IT WAS AMAZING… the guide (from the hostel) was great… no rushing just a brilliant experience - and doing that tour also opened up to meet other guests - the cleaning was 2nd to none… 11-2 serious cleaning everywhere…. Toilets & showers and wash area were amazingly clean. You were under 1 min walk from the old town about 3-4 min walk to the beach 🏝️ 3-4 min to great bakeries and 1 min from great restaurants & shops. But at night it was quiet at the hostel but the night life … well let say lively out in the town under 3 mins walk away. Great kitchen again very clean and good rules - I ate out the whole time I was staying but great clean fridge and freezer cooking areas etc. just go stay. You won’t be disappointed.
