The house stays in a lovely place between Óbidos and Caldas da Rainha. We went to the pool once we got there and felt so peaceful and relaxing that we immediately cancelled our plans for dinner and decided to stay in this cosy place. Mr Francisco is a great host, since the first moment when he welcomed us in his scooter with a big smile on his face; he was always available to tell us more about the region and the farm, making us feel at home. As soon as you arrive at Quinta da Torre you feel that time stops and a sense of tranquility embraces you. We will definitely come back! Carlos and Tanya

The pool area is amazing, we wanted to stay longer! The owner Francescu is a superfriendly guy, very charismatic and full of tips and stories! The breakfast was perfect, nice croissant and home made jam :)

When you first drive up the long gravel driveway, you might wonder what you will find at the other end! But when Francisco opens the front door and welcomes you into what is all but his family home, the magic happens. Like the welcome, the house is warm and has a sense of family, history, and stability. Everything about this place is comfortable. Yes, it is romantic. Our bedroom was a good size with a comfortable bed; It is a very quiet spot, so there are no noises to wake you up in the morning, just the sun shining in. Sitting at the huge dining room table, the European breakfast, we chose hot coffee, croissants and homemade strawberry jam, is an excellent start to the day. Would we go back to stay again? Absolutely, we can't wait.

Even being close to the city of Óbidos, the road to get to the hotel doesn’t have sidewalks and lights. For those who are thinking to go without cars, it is important to plan how to get back to the hotel at night time.

The owner was very nice with us during our stay. The pool was very good, the breakfast simple but lovely and the place in total it is very cozy.

Authentic portugese country house with old school hospitality. Located 20 minute walk from the town of Obidos, in a quiet, country location. Comfortable bedroom with en suite, cleaned daily. Use of owners comfortable living room during the day/evening. Simple country breakfast in family dining room. Great host, only too willing to advise on places to visit and eat that are away from tourist trappings. The country house also has a small holding attached so some animals (goats, chickens, horse). Outdoor swimming pool with pleasant terrace.

No coffee or tea in the bedroom no facilites of to buy anything water or a drink. it’s a place just to sleep meaning if you would like to have a relax day without going out for a meal you need to bring cooked food with you. it’s a place without anything around to walk to. the Internet it’s veryyyyy weak too

Francisco is the ultimate host, nothing was a problem and he assisted with tips and ideas - excellent. Suggestion for tea and coffee station in the lounge as well as a honesty bar, would be appreciated. Just avoid the cranky owner, he makes Basil Fawlty seem serene.

The room didn't have AC - although sleeping with the windows open brought in lots of fresh air.

Beautiful location near the old city but far enough to be in tranquil nature and fields. The historic family house is full of antiques and very cozy. The hospitality was warm and considerate.
