I loved this property beside the river. It felt like we had stepped back in time. Our host Sylvia was lovely and helpful. We cooled off in the pool and then sat beside the river having a drink before dinner. It was perfect.

The room was a bit suffocating, and the climbing stairs to pee at night was less than perfect but a good experience all in all.

Silvia (the owner and host) is a lovely person, aiming to please and help its a great p[lace to relax in with the river and pool, and a good place to explore the northern parts of central Portugal

One tiny thing, the bathroom required new fresh silicon around bath / shower.

Superb agro turismo in a stunning quiet location. Fell asleep to the sound of the river. Large ‘suit’ so value for money was excellent. Lovely breakfast.

Our room had no windows on the floor of our bed. So it was quite dark and since it was in an old building ,it was a bit damp. There was a small window in the bathroom upstairs but the bug screen was broken.

The breakfast was abondant and varied. The staff fantastic. The pool was a great asset with the heat when we were there.

What a beautiful place in such a lovely setting! We very much appreciated Silvia's suggestions for dinner and hiking. Rocky, the dog, is the very friendly "official greeter".

Room was a bit too dark (just the small door window); bathroom is one level up, with quite a noisy water closet; hosts should consider changing to a duvet instead of blankets to make the bed more comfortable

Perfect location in a beautiful and well maintained rustic farm, right on the banks of the Mondego river, all very scenic and instagramable. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and supportive

If you are looking for an unusual, exceptional natural place (old mills) a green setting, old stones in a renowned Natural Park, in addition to a swimming pool, a river (and small waterfalls) in the property where you can swim, the accommodation in a certain comfort, where you can cook, an excellent lunch, look no further: Silvia with a charming welcome, will give you the stay / happiness.

We arrived late and we could not find a restaurant open at that time - the owner decided to open the breakfast table for us so we could help ourselves...it was a Godsend. The lodging is beautiful as you can see from the photos....and the breakfast was abundant and fresh - top lodging!

My room was in desperate need of new furniture and an update in general. if they are trying to be a camping property that is fine but I did not pay a camping price.

The Mondego river passes right through the Quinta do Moinho. There is even a little boat available that you can row on the part of the river that passes through the quinta! Very enjoyable. The host Silvia is friendly and kind, and she went out of her way to help us on several occasions. The breakfast is abundant and genuine. The apartment felt like a little chalet in the middle of the Portuguese countryside, it even has its own porch. Would love to go again.

The only thing that was not as ideal was the bed. It is a bit small for two people, the Matratze was not good plus the bed springs made quiet some noise when slightly moving in the bed.

It is a lovely place and location. I love that there are 3 dogs to welcome you. One of them is Rocky a Portuguese mountain dog. He is just so affectionate, loveable and tolerant towards other guest dogs like ours! The host Sylvia is super nice and is getting out of your way to make you feel comfortable . Our room felt like a little house on two levels.
