Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaOn site parking was a bit tricky, but plenty of on street parking. Probably need a car as it is quite a distance from the centre.
The staff were very helpful, went out of their way to assist with all enquiries. Good breakfast. Room was spacious and comfortable.

NetherlandsThe receptionist, who checked us in and who was there the first 3 mornings, is really grumpy and clearly does not enjoy her job. This is a shame, as all the other staff are so friendly and helpful, and she is letting her colleagues down by also providing wrong information to guests.
Excellent price/quality ratio. Convenient location on the road between Braga and Guimaraes. Simple but effective continental breakfast. Loved the large room, the very silent airconditioning, and the balcony outside our room. I would like to compliment the ladies on the last morning who dealt with a power outage, but still managed to serve us breakfast in time.

SwitzerlandThe damp smell in the room but luckily we could open the windows and air it out. The room was very poorly lit but we just needed to sleep 1 night so no problem.
Good value for the money, perfect for a night stay and close to Guimaraes and Braga on a fairly quiet neighbourhood. Staff was very helpful and nice, comfortable bed as well. Breakfast was very simple but okay for the money.

Location 10 minutes away from center of Guimarães. Hotel is a house converted into a small hotel with a feel like bed n breakfast. Private bathrooms in each room though. Breakfast was just enough.

Although it was a hot day, the room was cool. We even did not need to use the airco. Free parking available on-site. Close to the Guimaraes historical city.

United StatesThe noise from traffic was passing impression the cars were moving very fast next to room's windows. Even during the night, traffic has calmed down, but the windows are old and not sound-proofing making it very painful night. Also, you ear all noise from the corridor, and other guests have no respect slamming doors at 5am. The back of bathroom's door was loathful. The breakfast was fair but the ham was smelling old and tasted dreadfully - I couldn't eat, sorry. There's not enough parking space for travelers, and next morning when we left, the neighbor from the house at the other side of the road started a discussion and yelling because our car was parked in front of their property.
The staff is polite and friendly. The breakfast is simple but fair.
