The whole place seemed a little musty. Great food but the portions were so massive that we felt like we were wildly wasteful.

We had a huge room with windows all around. Lots of light, great sunset, and eerie fog in the morning. The room was great including the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Nice dining room and terrace for drinks and food. Very tasty food for dinner, too.

When we arrived we had to go looking for someone to check us in, even though they were aware of our approximate arrival time. Finally a kitchen staff was found out back and went to get the front desk person who was in some other part of the building. 20-30 minutes later.

Almost everything about this place was amazing. A great restaurant with reasonable pricing was a surprise. The room overlooked the river and views from your private balcony were fantastic out in the country and very relaxing. The spa was generally good with a few signs of wear and tear

Could be a little bit more clean

It was great, we could book two times the spa with sauna for 45min and had it for ourselves. The view from the room was amazing, the staff really friendly, breakfast really good.

It was difficult to find any electric outlets in the room. There seemed to be only one, and it was tucked behind the bed. We had to move the bed to use it.

What a beautiful place, such a lovely setting. We booked the suite so had a great sized room with a spa bath and wrap around balcony. Time in the spa morning and afternoon included which was great.

To be honest it is almost impossible to pick holes in this hotel. We would recommend it to anyone. Perhaps a kettle in the room would be nice, but not essential. That's it.

We liked everything. Never been to this area or hotel before, so it was a stab in the dark. We stayed 4 nights Room had a super views of the Mondego river. Clean and up to date. Very quiet location. Meals were excellent. Head waiter couldn't do enough for us. Not only with the food but information about where to visit. Loved the pool. Being a small hotel, most of the time we had it to ourselves. Room has a fridge and safe. River trips were available but we didn't take one. You can go 2ks either way from the hotel and there isn't another building, just the views.

Can't think of any downside apart from we didn't have time to use the pool which looked fantastic! Our problem not theirs!!

Good size bedroom and bathroom, with views over the water and forests. Excellent dinner and breakfast with friendly and helpful hosts. Great place for a peaceful night after 5 days in Lisbon.

The walls of the bedroom were a little bit dirty/scratched, the massages of the spa were not available to book on the same day since they do not have an in-house masseuse so they had to check availability with her, and we could not book it on the spot.

The room was big and the view was amazing, the staff was super nice and always ready to help on anything, it is a really good place to have a calm vacation in the middle of nature and just rest. The sauna was very nice and not crowded, since you have to book your time on the hotel schedule, and the restaurant served great food.

Although faint, the highway noise was a constant background sound (and is visible from the bedroom). The TVs in the bedrooms could be a bit bigger and put a bit lower on the wall.

Very nice little hotel, with very good breakfast included. The restaurant was also good. Didn't use the swimming pool but it looked nice and clean. The view from the bedroom and restaurant was incredible (although it included parts of the highway).

Pool area is too hot and humid, many things need to be renewed, lots of scratches on walls, small moldy areas, all these take the 4* feeling
