A good, cheap and comfortable 2 * hotel in the centre of Funchal, with an amazing roof terrace and a cheap restaurant next door.

The rooms and bathrooms need to be updated and there is a lot of noise at night/into the early hours. The whole parking situation was frustrating and was very limited (it's more of an alley than a parking garage or car park), so if you're the last one in you'll have to get up early to move your car when other people start leaving for the day.

The location was great for walking around the city, it's also only a 20 min drive from the airport.

Breakfast is not good even you have to pay for eggs in the breakfast you need to eat more in restaurants or cafe because breakfast not enough

A bigger space to park a car would be much appreciated. I would've preferred a bigger variety of fruits for breakfast.

I appreciated that night staff went an extra mile and arranged me an extra bedsheet. It was worth a wait. I also appreciate that staff were helpful in driving in and out other cars in the parking lot at a short notice.

Parking is a nightmare to park, so we found a multi store car park 5min walk and we parked there for 2 days. The Breakfast was ok but very basic. No fridge in the room so we could keep cooled drink.

The location was excellent.Very close to everywhere. Bed was very comfortable. Room was ok, maybe the rooms need a bit of refurbishing but it was't bad.

Noisy at night from people in the hotel and the lift

Great for the price. Very convenient location and lovely to have a balcony. Breakfast is very basic but for the price, cannot complain.

Leek the tap in the bathroom, not have enough light in the room, really dark.

Small street the location very close to the city center. Together same building with a restaurant. Room size ok , huge bed, TV have many English channel. Have a clean balcony. Bathroom is ok. Breakfast simple but fine.

Great location, in city centre, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is on the ground floor where you can have breakfast (basic , but good) and can buy a dinner. Food good. Cleaners come every day. Room basic, no kettle or any kitchen stuff in the room so not able to prepare any food or drink there. Reception open 24 hours. Staff can speak English, helpful and polite. Balcony spacious. Overall can recommend it if you happy with basic accommodation and not looking for luxury.

Poor internet connection. I was not able to log in on my laptop from the 5th floor. This is something that hotel can improve and it is not a big investment. In the smartphone, the internet was on and off, which was a bit annoying, so I was using my own network all the time. The elevator awakes me during the night. Some people's voices as well.

Breakfast is very basic. Everyone can find something for him. I wish that marmalade was in one more flawor. Extra blankets in the closet were nice. Terrace and the view, are very nice. The location is fantastic. You can walk from the hotel everywhere. The bed is very nice, and the bathroom is as well.

Internet is available in the lobby or on the terrace, but not in the room. the hotel is very old. the rooms are worn out, there is a smell of dampness.

The location is perfect. The staff is friendly, upon request to deliver a heater, they brought it right away. Room cleaning - every day, very high quality. This hotel has a restaurant, extremely delicious!

Room 104 was a moldy, every time we entered the room the smell was bad. Insufficient sunshine. Room size was good. Did not respond my e-mail asking for shampoos and slippers etc. Breakfast was weak compared to our stays in Romania, Danmark and Turkey. No eggs, only one kind of cheese, cornflakes, milk, coffee, butter, marmalade, and coffee/tee. The plates were not clean.

Although everything was spotlessly clean the hotel looks old and the rooms need updating, the shower was great but the cubicle wasn't very nice. The breakfast was very basic we had it once during our stay, we chose to eat out the rest of the time. If you just need a base to stay then this is great.

The location of the hotel was great, right in the centre, The view from our balcony was amazing, the hills looked lovely lit up at night . The roof top terrace was really nice to sit and relax, great views all round. It was good value for money. We loved the restaurant and bar next door, the staff were so friendly.

Smell of food in the whole corridor of the 1st floor where the rooms are. Receptionists not speaking good English.

Perfect position, in the center of Funchal. Car park available in the hotel, with small car no problems. Beautiful terrace on the roof of the building.. Very good restaurant for lunch and dinner, Sirius, in the same building. Breakfast buffet ( everyday was the same)
