Staff was not very friendly, wifi was pretty bad, restaurant prices were way too expensive for what you got.

Amateurish servers, bread with meals was "Extra".

We waited too long for food. No doorman or porter to immediately help on arrival. Finally someone helped.

The hotel restaurant had food that was fine, but at prices that would imply an excellent standard. We found restaurants in the village with better food at lower prices. All in all, though it is a lovely property.

The location is wonderful as are the grounds of the hotel. The views are great. We particularly enjoyed the patios for many of the ground floor rooms. It is extremely convenient to the train station (in fact there is direct access from the hotel)

The included dinner was a bit too nouvelle cuisine for us. Also, we were there two nights and the menu for the included dinner remained the very same—too repetitive. Will skip that next time.

Location, highly attentive and professional staff. They greeted us throughout our stay with enthusiasm and smiles. Beautifully maintained grounds. The view from our river front balcony was stunning.

Absolutely perfect Duoro Valley location! The minute you enter your room you immediately see the outstanding vineyards surrounding The Vintage House. Large, comfortable rooms with all the amenities needed for your perfect stay. The only hotel to stay at in the Douro Valley!

Location was beautiful with the rooms looking out onto the Douro River and the wineries. The hotel was spectacular, and beautifully designed. Exceptional breakfast everyday- organic and nourishing. Staff and service consistently to 5 start quality.

Breakfast, location and staff all amazing. The pool was a little small and the pool ball could have been opened but considering we are off season it was acceptable it wasn’t. To really be amazing it would be great if you could get a massage on site. We did lots of hiking and there was nothing really in town

The only thing we didn’t like was the mix of nuts they served with the wine. It was not fresh. As for the room - very comfortable amazing view from the balcony but they have a see through glass between the bathroom and the bedroom which make it very uncomfortable!!! When you sit on the toilet your partner in the bedroom can see you 🙄

Did not like the bathroom in the room. No mirror to get ready in . Just make up mirror. Also, there was a window where you could see your roommate using the restroom and taking a shower. Very awkward.

Heating-cooling vent made loud noise. Suit had only one bathroom and traveling with family it was bit inconvenient (considering the price). Pool was not heated or cleaned.

Beautiful hotel right on the river with a view that is memorable. The rooms were luxurious, the bed super comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the staff so friendly and attentive. We felt pampered the whole time and loved being just a walk away from good winery and dinner options (although we ate one night at the hotel and loved their dinner as well).
