Centrally located near the main station (Sao Bento). Room was beautiful and the breakfast was amazing (cooked and also the cold buffet, breads, fresh orange juice). Staff told us to get the Andante travel pass as it was fantastic value, and it was.

The swimming pool isn’t heated, so no chance of using it in the winter.

Some details of the facilities of the property itself were badly finished. The shower drain had a lot of little flies coming out of it and a bit of a bad smell. That should not happen with this standard of hotel.

Beautiful building with rooms that have been renovated with good taste and comforts. I LOVED all the pillows on the bed. The staff was so sweet and made arrangements for our toddler to be comfortable at the hotel. Tiago and the team were certainly a highlight of the hotel!

Just a perfect place, if it was possible I would give 7 stars not 5. Because it was raining we were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi and it was amazing. Each room is designed differently and every detail is thought of. When we arrived Ricardo told us about the history of the hotel and gave us a little tour. The hotel made our trip perfect! The hotel is located a 10-minute walk from the main shopping street and the Majestic Cafe.

Everything. The staff was phenomenal, helping us with everything including solving a problem with my laptop. The room and the common areas were beautiful and comfortable, especially the library and the outdoor area by the pool, which was too cold to use when we there, but lovely to look at.

Dinner at their restaurant is quite limited as well as room service items. They have a specific pre-fixe type dinner experience at the restaurant every night thus making it hard to order room service.

Beautiful hotel interior and theme. The location is superb, the restaurant breakfast delicious, staff is very accommodating, and the spa massages are perfect. All around an amazing, luxurious stay in Porto. Mostly I enjoyed how close it was to the centre, yet still had a peaceful and calm vibe tucked away on a quiet street. Perfect hotel to be in the city centre but still enjoy some quiet.

I didn't get the upgraded room that Booking.com garanteed me. Instead I got the regular room, which was beautiful by the way, but with an orrible view: a wall! I realized I didn't have the upgraded room comparing the pictures of their rooms. The staff told me they were giving me a better room than one I reserved: I don't like lies, this is the reason of 8 as vote. By the way it was difficult to manage lights and temperature in the room

I like absolutely everything at the Torel Palace Porto from the warm welcoming to the fantastic decoration ! The spa is also very nice. You feel home, everybody care about you. I highly recommend !

no bar per se at the location. u had to order at reception and they would deliver to a what they called a “cosy library room” just off reception. not for the person who likes bar interaction with other guests and barman
