First night had to move rooms, after unpacking due to faulty air-conditioner. Last night had no hot water- NONE. WAs so looking forward to bath after long day sightseeing…. One night stay was comped, but you cant get the lack of comfort, back. We were there early in season… so maybe they hadn’t worked out the kinks.

Location, historic and elegant. Staff was wonderful, beds were comfortable.

Probably being fussy here but the furniture is not as comfortable as modern furniture! Looks beautiful but not so functional. It would be difficult to use the room as a place to work.

The hotel, an old palacio, was gorgeous, in lovely grounds. The rooms were decorated with frescoes and old furniture matching the style of the palace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast had many great options to chose from (or have it all!). The tasting menu dinner was delicious and an evening drink on the terrace watching the sun go down was beautiful. There is a path opposite the hotel that shortcuts the hill walk up to Pena Palace or Moorish Castle. It is fairly rough but fine for those who are steady on their feet. Not far from Regaleira palace and Sintra town either.

It was a very hard place to find. There is no signage in front, and if you pass it, there is no way to turn back. It was listed as having an elevator, but our room was in a section without one.

The palace was beautiful. A once in a lifetime trip. We enjoyed being able to see the sites nearby. The museum in Sentra is wonderful.

Fantastic location walking distance from main attractions, beautiful well kept palace, clean, outside garden very nice, great friendly staff, fantastic breakfast and great dinner, very nice vibe in the place. Fantastic for family with young kids like ours.

Shame about the pool malfunction and could not roam some of the grounds.

The room needed an update

We had a few issues with the room. Management quickly resolved them and compensated us, along with a bottle of wine, and a cheese platter. All staff were very professional and friendly. The restaurant had impeccable service and excellent food.

The location is fabulous, the Palace is full with history. Very comfortable room, nr 7. The staff from reception, restaurant, housekeeping and management were exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and did everything to make our stay as good as possible. The restaurant served excellent food. Very comfortable bed.

It’s noisy between rooms. I prefer windows that stay open. For fresh air. The hot water takes a long time to get hot. The bathroom sink was plugged when I got here and when it filled up, hairs from the last person who was here came up!

Its obviously an expensive property to maintain. Hopefully the somewhat "lived in" carpeting in the bedrooms will be replaced with wood or tile flooring.

Its a gorgeous property and the staff is gracious and accommodating.

Bed was very small. No plugs convenient for international travelers. Bathroom was dark although toiletries were very nice and water pressure was hot and strong.

Service was excellent. Hotel toiletries were very nice. Breakfast was lovely. Piano player in the evenings was a great touch.

Some damp smell in the room the first night. The hotel is on a one-way street and we found it a bit difficult to get a door to door ride when some drivers didn't want to stop there.

Beautiful property and very friendly staff. Views are great and quiet location. We have everything we need in the room (USB charger, kettle, etc). Warm welcome with drinks and desserts.

We had a king bed, however the top was too mattresses together so there was a crease in the middle, which could be a bit annoying.

There is no gym to work out, especially when is not possible to jogging around the hotel since is a car road.

The staff is great and the facilities are fantastic. The food at the restaurant is very good.
