Perfectly located opposite the train station with views of the river. The host arranged two private day tours to quintas. These days were highlights. We discovered that the Portuguese interior camino trail runs right past the house so we did some good walks in both directions, out into the vineyards. We did not have a car and we like to walk. There are taxis at the train station very close by. The house had very comfortable amenities. Each bedroom has its own ensuite so perfect for our group of adults.

A warm and friendly welcome to the spacious, clean and comfortable apartment with a lovely terrace and views of the Douro. Perfect location for a river cruise and lots of good restaurants just across the road.

A bit of an odor from stairwell leading up to the apartment (likely from the old red carpet on the stairs). No odor in the apartment itself or rooms.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable apartment in the Duoro Valley. The view from the terrace was amazing! Great communication with the host. Free parking was just below the apartment (5 min walk). Great restaurants right across the street.

The only negative are the size of the showers in each bathroom.

The showers were very temperamental between extreme hot and cold and we're a little small but it was great to have 3 separate bathrooms.

The apartment was very nice. Comfortable beds, great balcony, Pedro was very helpful and quick to respond!

Just by chance, we visited in early March, and the weather was quite cold during the night and in the morning. It was a bit cold, although there was air-conditioning in every room.

The place was very specious, well equipped with all you might need, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The view to Douro river was a bonus, and was really amazing. All the bedrooms were en-suite, with bathrooms in every room, which was very useful, as we were a group of seven. Another extra was the specious balcony and all the outdoor furniture to enjoy the nice weather, looking at the river and the nice scenery. The property was a walking distance to everywhere, with a couple of restaurants and wine-tasting places just across the street. Although there was no car park at the property (we travelled by two rented cars), there was a free public car park just a minute away. The town of Peso da Regua itself was very nice and charming, and a very good starting point to explore all that Douro valley has to offer. A plenty of wineries close by, and scenic routes to enjoy the vineyards on the slopes all around the place. Many places of interest were just 15 to 30-minute drive, including Vila Real, Pinhao, Lamego, Amarante. Last, but not least, a very nice and accommodating host, providing you with advice on places to go to for a tasty dinner, or any further information you might need. We would be back, definitely.

could make it more obvious- Vistadouro brand at street level as was confusing when we first arrived by car and had to call Pedro as thought might be a scam!!

Not something I don't like but rather a note to future guests. The apartment is on the third floor and it appears that there is no lift to bring your luggage up. Not a problem for us as we have light backpacks and walking up the three flights of stairs is fine.

Great location. Parking in the street right at the front door of the property. Fantastic view of the Duro from the balcony. Pedro the host is very helpful. Great host.

On arrival parking was a bit unclear, but the host offered a private spot right in front of the door, so no problem.

Spatious balcony with marvelous view on river. Nice for some evening tapas and wine and morning coffee. Excellent base for exploring Douro valley.

We found the kitchen facilities a little limited.

Excellent location for a break based in Peso da Régua. Just a few minutes walk from the railway station, bus station and taxis and opposite a variety of restaurants and wine bars. Great views from the balcony overlooking the river. The host (Pedro) was very welcoming and immediately resolved a couple of issues we raised.

There was no living room area to relax in which wouldn’t have been an issue if it was cooler because we could have used the outdoor deck area which is covered. However we found the deck is too warm to use when it is hot outside because it has the sun on it all day and into the evening. If you are a sun lover then this would not be an issue
