Location was excellent. Had a bit of a view of the ocean. It was nice to walk to different places. The place was comfortable for us. Terrace was lovely but we didn’t get to use it as it was a bit cool at night. It was a fun little place to stay at.

Lot's of stairs to get there.2 flights with suit cases was not easy. Lot's of stuff at entrance like walking thru a storage unit with extra blankets,towels and a foldout bed.

The apartment met my expectations, but it did not deserve the 10 points claimed by the management via email. The staff can not be evaluated when the contact was only a short phone call. The view of the mountains was not there. Across the street is a train station and the quiet is disturbed by trains (this, however, did not bother me). The furnishings are very spartan; if the host wants to have 10 points, he should invest a little more there. In addition, I found the stairwell full of cleaning supplies, spare parts, and other items not very nice and also disturbing when passing it with my own luggage.

Good location, it's just a few steps to the alleys of the beautiful old town. A few meters up the street, you also have a beautiful view of the river. The apartment has everything one needs for a stay. It was very clean.

The advert mentioned "free parking" but we wrongly assumed "private parking". Perhaps it may be better to indicate "free street parking" or "free public parking" because indeed, the free parking is on the public road. We were lucky to find parking spots very close to the property but bear in mind that because this is a public road, in a traditional neighbourhood with lots of narrow streets, it may not be easy to find parking. Also, as some people have reviewed, there is a train line just under the property. The trains actually do run until 9:30/10 pm or so. However, it depends on your sensibility (it did not affect me very much but my wife found it too noisy). If you go out at night and come back late, it shouldn't be much of a problem. We also heard a lot of loud noise from people/kids on the street, outside the restaurant next door, on the first night. Not the fault of the property of course but do bear this in mind. Perhaps we were just unlucky that some people were noisy and rowdy only in that first night where our balcony door was not closing properly...

The location is indeed excellent. It is a very short walk to the city centre and also we have the Miradouro de Sao Sebastiao right outside the property. I liked the decoration of the house. The communication with the host was very efficient, even though we never met in person. We had a problem with the balcony door not closing properly (and therefore letting all the street noise in) and when I raised it the next morning they came and adjusted the door while we were away. The WiFi worked well, the shower/bathroom facilities were good too, the kitchen was well equipped and stocked with essentials such as frying pans, pots, cutlery, plates, a coffee machine, a kettlem etc, which is perfect if you are with family/kids and want to prepare some meals at home. All in all, this is a place that I can recommend to other Setubal visitors.

Noise of train as right next to trainline but the views and sunset make staying here worth the noise every now and again. No fruit as stated and bottle of wine didn’t arrive until the second day of our stay. A problem with the agency the owner used so he ended up delivering it personally.

Views and roof terrace are amazing. Very close walking distance to old town and Setubul waterfront. Great shower

The bathroom tap is inverted and, although this was a minor annoyance, it took us a good while to find our way to hot water :')

Cozy, easy check-in and check-out, good amenities, great customer service. The outdoors spaces are incredible for having a nice chat or listen to music (not too loud) at any point in the day.

The only thing I was missing was a big enough pot to cook pasta for 4 people 😊 More extra blankets would have been great but I didn't communicate this with the owner and I'm sure they would have brought one if I had asked

The lighting could be a little brighter. And it was a bit noise when a group of people arrived at the top floor apto.

Apartment was really humid for some reason, the sofa didn't convert to bigger bed and wasn't that comfortable.

Train trail is 100 meters away from the frontdoor, so at night it can get noisy when a train passes by

Bed was uncomfortable and lacking of extra covers….Got so cold at night. Only one 1 coffee capsule for the machine when we were 2 people. The hand soap was empty over the sink, and the hot water for shower not functioning until the next day. Gone to bed without a shower :-(
