“I was thoroughly delighted with the Lakeview Motel. It was close to the center of Haliburton Village. All rooms had parking in front of the doors. The staff was very helpful, wanting to make my stay an exceptional experience. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The HD TV featured an extensive channel selection with both Canadian and US news, weather & entertainment choices. Every small detail had been thought of and put in place; there were boxes of tissues on both sides of the bed; the coffeemaker had extra coffee bags, allowing extra cups to be made; ever toiletry possibly needed was provided---it was as if the management had said, "What is everything we can do to make this a memorable experience for our guests." Also they featured a great breakfast menu which could be ordered the night before. An added feature was a large, heated pool. I highly recommend the Lakeview Motel!”
“Location is absolutely beautiful and serene and comfortable! The living space is comfortable to just take a load off but you can also relax comfortably down by the water and enjoy amazing views! Having a fridge and oven mean you can easily stop into Bancroft for groceries and food to help save some money, or just enjoy the town itself with bakeries, local and chain restaurants, and beautiful local art. For us, it was also a short ride to Algonquin where we could easily spend a day hiking but have a great space to come back to.”
“Friendly staff, cabin was warm.
Extra linen provided on request. Good base for the area. Petrol station/convenience store over the road. Lots of room around the cabin.”
“The room was very clean, and we had housekeeping every day.
The location was perfect for our needs, just a mile from the trade show we were attending. The owner is lovely, very accommodating. Check in was quick, no hassles, price was great.”
“I liked all the activities you could do at the property
You could rent a kayak or canoe at no extra cost. There was a fire by the lakeside in the evening. There were board games inside and games outside. Also there's bbqs to use. Or you could just relax by the lake and enjoy the view.
The rooms were spacious and beautiful.”
“The Pine Wood Inn has added $100 charge for noise making on the rules. That may be helpful. I was not woken up by drunken partiers as has happened in a past visit. It was a beautiful evening and I could sleep with the bath room window open.”
