  “We actually moved here from a homestay by the lake as it was really loud there at night and we had to be up early to get the bus to Hanoi so wanted to move somewhere closer. The owner (I think his name is Luan but apologies if that's wrong!) was so helpful, we chatted on WhatsApp about how we could transfer to his place and he came and got us from the pier. He also personally called the bus company and arranged for them to collect us from right outside the hotel. We enjoyed a really great dinner and he, his wife and their daughter ate in the restaurant afterwards. He is also really knowledgeable about local birds and has photos up that he's taken. We didn't do any tours with him but if we come back we would definitely book to do something with him! The room was clean and had everything we needed, everything was peaceful in the evening and it was half the price of the previous place! We were so glad we made the decision to move!”
