  • The Breeze Motel Review score: 6

“No breakfast- did not expect. Was there supposed to be one included? Location is fine for my purpose to be near the Evangeline Campground. Beautiful view with which I am very familiar The soap, shampoo, etc. were good and I appreciate the commitment to no plastic waste. The kitchen area would have been more than adequate had I been there longer to cook meals. Quiet and very comfortable bed. I slept well.”

  • “Room was clean, comfy & added bonus of swimming pool”

  • Berry's Motel Review score: 9

“Berry's is a well-established motel undergoing renovation. The motel is located conveniently and close to Exit 14 on N.S. Highway 102 at Truro. Our room had been refurbished--super comfortable king size (described as a large queen) bed, 4 wonderful pillows; bathroom was fitted with the whitest, thickest, thirstist fluffy towels. Overall, the room was spacious, clean and offered a generous fridge, microwave and countertop for preparing light meals, lunches, snacks during longer stays. Although on a busy main street, our room was very quiet--no noise after 10 pm on motel property. The price was exceptional--we found the cost of a "breakfast included" elsewhere to be roughtly $59-$69! Whenever we have occasion to attend events in Amherst and Mt.Whatley, we will be staying at Berry's Motel those times--well worth the drive back which brings us closer to home. For travellers, this is a central location for fuel, food (full service restaurants or fast food) and general shopping (Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire, Sobeys).”
