“Although the name should have tipped us off, we were surprised to see that there’s a plaque outside the door indicating that this is the place where Nostradamus was born. Consequently, it was fun to observe tourists’ startled expressions when we either came out of or opened up the door to this residence while they were reading the plaque outside. The apartment, up two flights of stairs, is very well appointed and comfortable. Although it was too cool for us to enjoy, we liked seeing the rooftop lounging area equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture. We came to town in order to attend the wonderful Wednesday outdoor market, which is conveniently located along the streets a hundred feet from the door.”
“Reception staff when we checked in was polite, funny and engaging. Free tea, coffee and water in the lobby. Nice roof deck and ground floor terrace. Powerful hot shower. Full kitchen with all the utensils. Air-conditioning.”
“Clean and cozy apartment in the centre of town. Easy to Check in and check out. All attractions, cafe, restaurants and public transport is just 5-10 min away by feet. Very pleasant and helpful host. The train station can be reached by feet, there's a shuttle bus to the airport from there.
All kitchen stuff for cooking is provided.
Great way to explore the city”
“Very clean, small apartment, close to the railway station and old town, numerous shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity.
The flat is quite spartanly furnished, there are some things to upgrade:
- ‘Welcome folder’ with information on the functionality of internet / cooker / television / waste disposal
- a saucepan (there are only two pans) and a teapot! (Tea drinkers usually drink more than just one cup... kettle is available).
- a little sugar / salt / spices / some rubbish bags
- key to lock the door to the terrace
- more hooks or similar in the bathroom (two mini hooks make little sense for bath towels)
- arrange whatever with the house owner against pigeons and defective downpipe, the small terrace is hardly to use.
These are all just recommendations, perhaps other visitors are completely familiar with the somewhat challenging use of the induction hob, for example. It should not detract from the fact that it is a really clean flat.”
“It was basic. suited our needs for an overnight stay. The late arrival key process was easier than expected! We only saw staff at breakfast, which was also basic. A lovely young lady with a big smile was on reception in the morning.”
“Everything was fantastic. The apartment was clean, bright and well equipped, with a great view from the balcony. The location was perfect, with just a few-minute walk to the port and the centre. The car park was excellent too.”
