“It is not our first stay at Kerkini Houses, but this time we came with friends and they enjoyed it just as much as we did! Our host was amazing - very kind and very responsive. When we found out that we need one more bed for a child in one of the houses, she immediately arranged this. She also arranged a boat trip on the lake for us, which was the highlight of our stay in Kerkini - the kids were really impressed by the pelicans we saw from so close! One should really stay longer to be able to make the most of the visit - have more time to relax on the balcony, ride a bike, walk around the lake. All is easily accessible on foot, there are also some very good restaurants in the village and a supermarket.”

“I liked very much the communication provided by the owner. He was able to recommend local restaurants that suited all price ranges. Panos was also keen to provide details that would assist is in any travel plans we had such as visiting Bulgaria. This is a beautiful part of the world and we highly recommend the guided boat tour at the lake. The accommodation has its own private roof area which was wonderful to sit out on in the morning and watch the nesting storks and beautiful mountain scenery. The flat is on the third floor on the building; there is a quiet local bar on the ground floor which we found great to have a quiet drink and a place play board games. The bar closes at 10pm. We had 3 people in the flat and it was snug with the additional person. However, it was only a place for us to sleep and it was wonderful to expose our adult son to my nocturnal snoring! The accommodation represents excellent value for money and the local knowledge imparted by the owner was very useful.”
