“Wonderful Japanese home stay experience!
Owner was so kind person.
Large washing machine and dryer is available and helpful!
We enjoyed staying at very Japanese atmosphere house.”
“It's a very beautiful place, like a village with traditional European style.
You could take a walk around the courtyard.
We live in the 2F, and while entering the house, you could smell wood ( Hinoki ).”
“-Very convenient location near a tram station and a few bus stops.
-There's a really nice bathtub, as well as an onsen just 15mins away on foot.
-The beds are REALLY comfy. The three nights I was there, I had the BEST sleep of my life. I cannot emphasize just how comfy the beds were to me.”
“Room was comfortable and cozy. The entire location was stuffed with funny and beautiful little things. The owners must be talented collectors of special treasures. And they are always friendly, cheerful and very helpful (thanks for picking us up from the bus stop in the pouring rain!). The location is good with a bus stop nearby. There is an excellent Italian restaurant with Japanese-Italian crossover cuisine nearby.”
“Both Stan and Hiromi san are very hospitality and friendly. Breakfast was good and delicious. We were provided with extra Japanese tea session. The dog Tina is so cute and friendly too”
“My best hostel experience ever! The whole atmosphere of this place is superb, the hospitality is excellent! I even got a free room upgrade.
There's a nice relax area with TV, PCs, mangas, you can use all of these without charge or you can chill on the top floor with beautiful view to the Kumamoto castle.
You can buy bodysoap, shanpoo, toothbrush, towels etc if needed (100-200yen).
The Kumamoto castle is about 15 mins walk, and you can easily get on any public transport.
I happily recoommend this place to any female solo or group travellers as it really adds another layer to your stay.”
“Warm and friendly towards every guests. Unlike other hostels, as long as you take the initiative, you get to know more about the locals staying in Kumamoto here through their frequent gatherings over the dinner time and they always welcome you. They even organised a takoyaki party for me and taught me how to cook it. Also inviting to join the bamboo shoot harvest! What a real experience that I appreciate so much! Highly recommended! Thanks!”
