  • Ecolodge El descanso Review score: 10

    “Absolute lovely place! Highly recommended!”

  • Hostal Palacio del Inca Review score: 9

“The hostel is a short walk up the hill, so is one of the best options if you are planning on bringing a heavy bag, instead of having to carry it all the way to the top. The breakfast was good and consisted of nice breads with butter, eggs and jam, with coffee and juice. View from the bedrooms and communal area were very nice, of the lake with snowcapped mountains in the distance. Staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations on what to do on the island and how.”

  • Hotel Rosario Lago Titicaca Review score: 10

“This was certainly the nicest room we had on our entire trip. Large and cosy with a wonderful view of the lake. We were able to pay for the room by credit card as normal. Because withdrawing money did not work at any of the three ATMs in Copacabana. ( MasterCard )”

  • Ecolodge Santo Campo Review score: 10

“Lovely room , comfy bed , excellent views , we really enjoyed our stay”

  • HOTEL WENDY MAR Review score: 8

“Friendly staff, good location, nice breakfast!”

  • Hostal Isla del Sol Review score: 9

“Incredible views. Stay here and wake up for sunrise! Great staff. Good breakfast. Lovely space and I'd definitely stay again.”

  • Hotel La Cupula Review score: 9

“Beautiful room with amazing views of the lake. The hotel owner was very kind and considerate when struggling with the altitude, allowing us to check out later. Excellent restaurant, excellent value for money. Two very cute alpacas in the surrounding gardens with hammocks to relax. Extremely close to the town centre and lake front.”

  • CAMPO SANTO Review score: 6

“The hotel is really lovely, our room was super spacious, the shower was hot, and we had a nice view on the lake.”

  • Hostal Qhana Pacha Review score: 10

“Staff were wonderful and the location was very special. The cooked meals were also pretty tasty.”

  • “The location is perfect - it is up in Pueblo Yumuni and therefore has amazing views (we could watch the sunrise from our terrace!) and is close (10min walk further uphill) to the restaurants and bars in the town. There is a big uphill climb to get to the hotel from Puerto Yumuni where the boat drops you off … this is completely worth it compared to staying in a hotel in the port but please, don’t make the mistake we did and bring large or heavy bags! Bring a small backpack and store your big luggage in Copacabana. The room is spacious and comfortable and the owner Angel was especially kind and hospitable to us. Every morning he cooked a simple but delicious breakfast for us of eggs, bread, jam and fruits with coffee and always helped answer our questions about the island with patience and knowledge - he was a lovely calming energy every morning (the whole island feels like this!). Recommend staying at least two nights on this magical island if you have the time … on our second day we took a boat from the port up to Challapampa in the north and hiked to the Incan ruins and then back to Yumuni via the camino Norte - Sur, it’s a challenging (altitude!) but rewarding hike. We loved it here”
