“We stayed in the little self catering apartment in a separate wooden building opposite the main house. It has one single & one double bed, a small but adequately equipped kitchen/dining area (we didn't use it anyway). The bedroom is spacious and the bed VERY comfortable. The weather was unusually hot for the time of year but the rooms stayed cool thanks to small windows and cool night time temperatures, although there's an air conditioning unit and a woodburning stove to cover all weather. The owners were really friendly & helpful & spent some time chatting with us as we explained we were looking at property in the area. The food was delicious, we had a mixed meat and cheese plate as a starter followed by a plate of mixed local fish grilled and fried. We couldn't eat it all! For the next night we pre-ordered lamb cooked in a traditional peka in the fire, this was also delicious and very large! The main building is also an old wooden house, very charming and full of rustic decorations, it also has a storks nest on the roof.”
“Perfect place to visit if you need to rest, very quiet and plenty places to walk. Very kind and helpfull staff. Perfect looking apartment and delicious homemade food.”
“It was excellent for an overnight stay. Good location in the city. Communication with the owner is fast and responsive. Clean, orderly, quiet, calm place.”
“This is such a special place. The building is incredible and we enjoyed looking through their book of photos showing the reconstruction from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Our room was adorable with wonderful old furniture. The homes in the surrounding area are fascinating and we enjoyed exploring the nature trails. The highlight for us was visiting the family of Zlatko Sucic for the love and effort they invested in preserving the cultural heritage of more than 700 exhibits. The house and museum is #34 heading southeast from here.”
“The breakfast was quite good, but I liked the meal I had at the restaurant in the evening even more. Overall, the kitchen left a positive impression on me.
Moreover, all the staff I had contact with, was highly friendly, helpful and likable.”
“I discovered Čigoć while looking for a place to stay one night between Sarajevo and Rijeka.
First of all, the photos and comments were effective in my choosing the facility. When we went, I realized what a right decision we made.
The town is very peaceful. The facility is great. I chose the cottage in the garden for accommodation. It was beautiful.
Storks are on every roof, in the garden, everywhere…
We had a dinner at a very affordable price. The included breakfast was very nice. And the staff were very helpful…
I definitely recommend it to those who want to have a different experience in touch with nature in Croatia.”
