“The location near the town and within a minutes walk from the beach were great. The room was brightly decorated and had basic essentials including a toaster, microwave, and a few pieces of crockery and cutlery. Beds were also super comfy and the courtyard a lovely space.”

Our host Christie could not have been more attentive, and on the occasion that she was off duty, the housekeeper lady was very helpful. Local Mayan cocoa farm Che'il (where Prince William and Kate visited) accessible by local bus - highly recommended. Enjoyed Thongs Cafe on seafront. Cycled to Rhum Bar at Hopkins Bay Resort (north) and enjoyed drinks/eats at reasonable prices. Super bakery - bright pink door, on the way out of town south. ”

The public area around the pool and the pool itself need some face lifting.

“Location on the beach was perfect and lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Room was clean and neat, and the housekeeper was lovely. Not much natural light in our room but we knew that when booking the cheaper option, and didn't matter as you literally walk straight out onto the beach! Great private beach area with sun loungers, chairs and tables and floats etc for the sea - really great place to spend the day relaxing.”
