  • Wisma Anugerah Jaya Review score: 8

“The place fully satisfies basic needs of an independent traveller. It has an air conditioning unit, free wifi with reasonable speed and bathroom. You wouldn't enjoy spending daylight hours here, but if you have sorted out your daytime activities it provides good rest during the night. The hostess is attentive and helpful.”

  • Ne Pakku Manja Family Home Review score: 10

“If you want to get to know the Toraja culture better and are a sociable person, the Ne Pakku Manja Family Home is the perfect choice. Meyske welcomed us into her home like friends. The accommodation has several rooms and you share common areas such as the living room and bathroom. You don't need to cook since you can also have dinner on site on request, which is really delicious. What is very practical is that Meyske is a local guide and offers a two-day tour during which you learn an incredible amount about the fascinating Toraja culture, visit traditional ceremonies and burial sites and hike through rice fields. We had a great time there and would advise anyone traveling to Rante Pao to stay there.”

  • Toraja Bungin Homestay Review score: 10

“The very clean room was in the mainhouse and is equipped with a hot shower. The whole family is very friendly and helps you with everything you need. We espacially loved the banana and pineapple pancake and the tamarillo juice for breakfast. Hendrik (as well as his nephew) is also one of the best guides for the Tana Toraja.”

  • Purabarang Homestay Review score: 10

“Very kind owner. Nice room good bed. We liked the type of house like a wooden house. Good place close to the centrum.”

  • THE SINGKI HOME FAMILY Review score: 10

“Imanuel and his family are very attentive and kind hosts. They have the kind of hospitality that comes from the heart. The room and the shared bathroom are cleaned regularly. The breakfast is 5-star! On my last day I got the best ginger tea of my life! I did a 2-day tour with Imanuel in the Toraja region and it was very interesting and informative. Imanuel is a very good guide and his English is super. He also helped me to find a guide to show me around in Makassar. Thank you very much for everything!”
