    “The Astor Hotel exceeded our expectations in more ways than one. We booked 3 nights and ended up extending our stay. It doesn’t feel ‘commercially run’ - it’s such a personal touch and the owners are really kind, generous and warm-hearted people who are in the business for the love of it all. It’s rare to find that nowadays. We slept really well every night and enjoyed the breakfast which at $5/person was really good value. Thank you, Tildy and Neil! Our bicycles enjoyed their stay too having an entire room to themselves. We have found our favorite hotel in Hobart and will certainly be back!”

    “Peaceful, private. Perfect. This property was so much more than we expected. Spacious yet cosy and the beds were warm and comfy. A delicious cheeseboard on arrival was a lovely welcoming after a long journey. Breakfast supplies were plentiful and delicious and the location was perfect for sightseeing in the Devonport area. What a treat. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Thank you to the lovely owners for sharing this wonderful place. We couldn’t fault a thing. Oh and we loved the early morning visits from the resident peacock. 10 out of 10.”
