“I enjoyed staying at Maravu and actually extended multiple times.
The main reasons:
1.) the staff is really friendly, welcoming and the perfect tour guides. Sitting with Raffa and Cali at night, listening to their music or joining in Kava night are another big bonus.
2.) regardless if you’re looking at dorms or privates, both are clean, fairly spacious and have a really good price!
3.) being easily reachable by taxi from the ferry (how I arrive on Taveuni - roughly 30 FJD + the ferry from Suva is a „unique“ experience) and the airport (how I left).
Can only be recommended!”

“Everything was fabulous, the food, the people, the room, the surroundings, the local beach. Perfect, I could not have asked for a better place to experience the beauty of Taveuni. Activities could be organised at the lodge and information and advice was always given freely. The staff there were all lovely, big shout out to Khali!! The gardens are beautiful and perfect to hang out in reading a book or relaxing (just beware of coconuts!) there is a lovely beach nearby with some food places and good snorkelling. I did some diving with Taveuni Ocean Sports (can organise through the lodge) and wow, just wow. Vinaka vaka levu, I will be back!”

“The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and happy to assist with any inquiries or concerns. They helped in organising day tours and excursions. The grounds were so lovely and very well kept. The pool was a welcoming surprise, and there are plenty of sun lounges and shade options. The restaurant, which as I understand is operated by people in a nearby village, was outstanding. The food was excellent and very well priced. The real stars of the show for me were Rafa and Kali. Rafa with his cheery & playful attitude, and Kali with his gentle kindness. I was sad to leave and endeavour to return in the near future!!”
