How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bedside lamps hang quite low, and also they are very chick we kept bumping our heads...
The location is perfect, within 7 minutes walk from the old city center, and the botanical gardens. We loved the room- it was spacious and comfortable with a great bed . Wi-fi in pur room was very good as well. Breakfast was rich and the staff was very helpful. We loved staying here.

The rubish chute was easily accessible in the hallway and it could be dangerous for children, they could fall in.
Nice and comfortable, close to city centre.

The only very minor negative is that it's up a hill from the city center which can feel like a bit of a slog after a long day exploring the city.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms and common areas are clean and well-decorated. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious. The variety and quality of the breakfast was really good. Better than most hotels I've been to in Romania, or really anywhere. I actually looked forward to breakfast.

Staff presence and behavior on Sunday. Had to be forceful to solve electrical issue at 15:00 because according to reception 'colleagues are not present until 7pm'.

The breakfast room is quite small and loud, and easily gets crowded. A few things could be improved at breakfast, like fresh 'bakery bread' and fresh made juices instead of the current more 'industrial' versions. Not in the very city center – expect a 10–20 minute walk, depending on where you want to go.
A very nice hotel. Staff at the reception and at breakfast were friendly, service-minded, and helpful. We were given a quiet room as requested. There was a good variety of food for breakfast, and our food allergies were taken into account. Our room was in good condition. The hotel is quite close to the beautiful Botanical garden and a couple of restaurants and cafes, including the excellent Tokyo Japanese restaurant and the nice coffee place Victor. We would stay here again if we come to Cluj in the future.

I would recommend this hotel to those who wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning. Because, from that moment forward, it is impossible to sleep due to the slammed doors (the hotel uses electronic cards to open the doors, so you have to pull the door to close it), noisy staff or clients, and very noisy elevator. Otherwise, this hotel is great, but personally, I didn't rest well at all.
The breakfast was great, very rich, with vegetarian menu also, pastries, hot and cold stuff. The room was nice, big, and very clean. The bathroom was also great. The location is good, very close to the old center, but up on a small hill, so be aware of that if you choose to stay here.

The hotel is perfect as it is. The only recommended addition will be one of a ramp along the stair case at the entrance of the hotel, to bring heavy luggage to the reception on its wheels

There was an issue with the smell of the sewer in the bathroom. The staff offered to change the room and sent up a basket containing a fairly expensive bottle of wine, chocolate and fruits.
