I would really like to have a big, tall mirror in the room as the size allows, makes a good impression and will be helpful when you need to attend an event. Also, a little diversity in bread types will make the breakfast even better.

The size and cleanliness of the room were exceptional. The location is the best and there was plenty of parking spaces. Our room was ready before the check-in time as we requested and that I appreciated it a lot.

The window was facing towards some water canal which was uncomfortably noisy and did not allow us to sleep properly. With the window closed, the room was lacking fresh air, therefore was very hot and a single fan could not save the situation. I am pretty sure we would be amazed if we would have just a different room :)

Everything was great. Clean room, great breakfast and perfect location (walking distance to city center). They let us use the parking space even after checkout hours. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We totally enjoyed our stay at Casa Iacob. Will come back for sure.

The room is not very soundproof, you can hear every person in the hallway. Towels were kind of shabby and old (one of them was ripped). The room had no dim lighting, like a tablelamp or reading lamp or something. It was only the full-on strong overhead light. Breakfast was ok, not great.

Lovely staff, very nice and helpful. I slept comfortably in the bed. I appreciated the insect screen on the windows, the shower and the blackout curtains.

Really don't get the high rating for this hotel - average at best. Fair walk from the centre - 17 minutes. Room was large but very basic - thin plastic toilet seat which wouldn't stay up and a cleaner who didn't take away used beer glass after using e mini bar.

Note: this is not a complaint but a simple description of what we have found. Also, I wish to make clear that it is my entire responsability of NOT having properly checked the type of accommodation at this place and booked it rather rushed and inattentive. While the setup of the facility is tolerably improvised, I am making aware the ones booking the one-bedroom apartment they should be aware the two rooms equipped for sleeping are: the main bedroom, a mere 6-square meter affair which can be claustrophobic. Secondly, the bed matress is of a lesser quality, meaning that with two people on the bed, it becomes concave -- that is incurbate, similar to a bathtub, hence very uncomfortable. The other room, similar in terms of size, has a pull-out sofa; was left to us to pull out which we never managed to do. The bathroom is all right however the shower head was worn out and did not work right, plus there is no little shelf / rack where to place the shampoo / shower gel. My suggestion is to check ALL the pictures of each available unit before making a decision. I also suggest the owners to indicate the size of each of the bedrooms rather than offer the "total size per apartment".

Location: in the heart of the so-called old town, that is away from the crowds on the pedestranized streets or the ones close to the waterfront. Interesting architetcture and an opportunity to immerse yourselves into the local flair.

I rented a double room with a large bed and received a tiny room, probably the smallest on the floor, according to the evacuation plan displayed in the room, with two small beds, extremely uncomfortable mattress, the worst quality pillows, flatscreen TV is actually a Vortex TV (there is nothing cheaper on the market), the size of a small computer monitor that does not work. I do not recommend at all but it is everyone's choice I noticed at the reception (which is actually a tiny table near the location bar, I was simply told that this was what they had and that they gave me.

I wish Romanian hotels would have a kettle and tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. It's standard throughout the UK at every level of accommodation, and it's something Romanian places miss.

Bathroom was sparkling clean and everything worked well, all was new and good. The hotel location was very quiet, which was great. No traffic noise, no nearby bars or crowds - perfect.

The website and the facebook page of Casa Iacob said it has a restaurant where lunch an dinner might be served. Unfortunately, this was not true. And it happened without notice.

During summer, it is too hot, as no clima is there, we need to open window, but it was noisy from the yard outside during night. Otherwise, all good.
