Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaI was surprised to find an incredible person which is the host Mr. Radu who knows basically everything about Delta Dunarii and Dobrogea region. We took his advices into consideration and went to a boat trip and visit some specific lakes and it was really incredible , best experience in all 6 days spent on Delta. Additionaly on last day we went with him for a sunset trip through lakes and it was the best moment sunset ever and the cost very cheap. Vila is a great place as well to stay , all facilities are available and food is amazing - I totally recommend to eat fish there at Vila cause you'll experince the most authentic and delicious taste.

GermanyThe bathroom showed some signs of wear and tear; the shower did not have great water pressure. That’s about it. I should say that the guys running the boat trips don’t really speak English, German or French. I was lucky enough because there were other travellers there who kindly translated for me so that this was no problem in the end.
If you want to see and enjoy the Danube delta’s nature, this is the perfect place to stay. Mila 23 is right in the heart of the delta and is, in itself, a special little place. The hotel is conveniently placed: the express boat drops you off directly at its porch and it’s only a short stroll along the river to the “village-centre”. I had a fantastic time here and went on so many great excursions. The owner really takes extraordinary care to make sure that all his guests are happy. I didn’t make it easy for him - not speaking Romanian and wanting vegetarian food, but he really went out of his way to make sure that I had a good time. I saw everything I wanted to experience in the delta in the four days I had. The excursions and the food offered were reasonably priced. The hotel has a fridge where you have a good choice of chilled drinks for what are basically supermarket prices. The rooms, as such, were fine, too. Enough space, an interesting view, and a comfortable bed. The AC was working nicely, too, should you need it. The owner also helps with the preparations for the trip if you want – I would have never found the Pelicanul express without him organising it for me. For everything that I got, the price I was asked to pay in the end was really more than reasonable. It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in (the nature of) the delta!

United KingdomThere was a lot of fish but it comes with the territory. You do have the choice to order something else every morning. Continental breakfast a little boring, same cold meats cheese and eggs every morning but it was satisfactory. I would have liked some more local produce like vinete or zacusca made with eggplants and some fresh fruit. Rooms could do with a kettle and cups to make my own coffee as soon as I wake up and sit on the balcony to drink it rather than having to go down to the dining room for one.
The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The host Mr Radu is extremely helpful and friendly. Organised our transfer to and from Tulcea, helped with fishing permit and boat hire. Nothing is too much trouble. The gardens are beautiful. We also done one of the trips to Sulina which was really interesting and highly enjoyable. We were not rushed about and the guide was knowledgeable about local history. I highly recommend this place.

HungaryWe loved everything.
The house is located in the beating heart of the Danube Delta. Our room was quiet, spacious, super clean with comfortable beds. The owner Radu is a FANTASTIC host, he helped us with everything and went over and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He organized wonderful excursions and also helped to rent a canoe so we could see and experience the Delta by ourselves. They offered breakfast and dinner ( not incl. in the price) which is a convenient and reasonable choice for the travelers. They cooked fresh fish every day so you can try the flavors of the Delta without going anywhere. You can also sit and read in the beautiful rose garden. The entire staff was super nice. Definitely recommend this place! 10/10!!!
