No coffee or tea in the room and they serve bad filter coffee for breakfast, so if you want to have a good coffee in the morning you have to get dressed and have it in the lobby bar (which opens at 7.00) where it is a bit pricey. And if you get up early and like to have your coffee in the bed, that won't happen. Breakfast starts at 8.00 and ski school for kids at 9.00 so you don't have time to get ready for skiing. Also, dinner starts at 19.00 which is too late considering that you finish skiing at 16.00 (or 16.30). Looks like they are trying their best to force you to spend more money on food and drink in the lobby bar. Food is good in general, but for the price there should be a better choice of food, especially meat. Some food is prepared too early (or they use food from previous meal) so it was cold even at the start of breakfast and dinner, and it happened every day. Swimming pool and spa are small for the number of people that come with children afrer skiing. It's usually crowdy untill dinner. I talked to a couple of people who visited this hotel before, and everybody says the hotel got worse, and all the things I've mentioned were as they should be: for 30% less you got breakfast, lunch and dinner (now there's no lunch), breakfast was at 7.30 and dinner at 18.00, food choice was better, etc.. Overall impression, it's not worth the money. Hope they'll change something in the future because the impressions of all people I talked to are pretty much the same. On the other hand, there's no better choice if you want to stay on Stara Planina with children and looks like they know it.

Location is great, just next to gondola and ski slopes. If you are staying for at least 7 nights, kids aged 4-9 get free ski school, equipment and ski pass. Rooms are big and cozy.

The hotel advertises as a spa hotel, however, the indoor swimming pool is too small for a hotel of this size. Also, there are two saunas where kids barged in all the time, so I left them sooner than intended.

The hotel does not have connecting rooms, so we took two rooms next to each other for our family of four. Both rooms were the same, very spacious, comfortable and clean. The food was superb, so many choices, very tasty and fresh, and the fact that the drinks with meals was included in the package was a nice bonus. I had a full body relax massage and this was great. The masseuse was young but very knowledgeable and professional. I scheduled another massage for the next day immediately, but had to cancel that one as I was not feeling well.

I went with my partner only and the hotel is perfect for families with children as kids under 10 get free ski lessons during the day leaving the parents to enjoy their time. So the hotel was full of kids, as a matter of fact I think we were the only couple without :) This made it quite noisy, particularly in the spa area - pool and jacuzzi. We would have liked to use the pool and jacuzzi as well as the sauna but it was too overcrowded with kids.

Location of the hotel is just perfect - at the bottom of a ski slope, next to the main gondola. Food was excellent - great choice and variety, suitable for vegetarians too. Hot and soft drinks are included, wine and lager too. The facilities were great - we were able to relax after a day of skiing in the sauna and steam room. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much of a bother. Room was very spacious and clean.

Kitchen is very old-fashioned, the variety is big, but not very tasty.

The all-inclusive option is nice, because it's far from the surrounding cities. Room was good, although found some hairs on the bathroom wall. The spa was also good, we went at the end of December to new years day, and although it was fully occupied, we could find times when the pools were empty (if you go when people are skiing, it's likely to be near empty). The spa facilities could have been cleaner though, people threw their garbage everywhere, and at the end of the day it had a weird smell.

At some point the hotel was overcrowded. We couldn't find a free table for brekfast and lunch. So basicaly some people were taking their time, taking the table for the whole time i.e. 2h long. This kind of thing should be handled better because what is the point in having included meals when you can't find a place to sit?

The staff is nice, rooms are clean and the locstion is nice.

Too many dogs around the hotel. When you go for a hike they appear out of nowhere. Especially if you have an after dinner walk, a bit scary. Also the maintanance could be better. Some facade is broken, walls crack, light doesnt work.

Although hotel is relatively new, there are some signs of insufficient maintenance (e.g. broken shower taps in spa area, couple of missing tiles at the indoor swimming pool,.. :)). Small things that could be easily fixed.

There was a huge number of kids without supervision. Some of them were running around the hall or jumping in the swimming pool. The other thing which in our opinion is dangerous is that there are three huge located in front of the hotel. Better lighting should be installed around the hotel when there is already a basketball court and a playground that can be used.
