Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe bathroom was quite small, there was no toilet-brush and due to no curtains in the shower the bathroom became fast wet. The front-door made problems while locking. The lock was instable. In the end it functions, but each time we wanted to lock the room from outside, we had to try a few times. Compared to the equipment, style/modernity, comfort and size of the room the price was far too high. On Mahé we payed for more comfort half of the price in different accommodations.
The seaview and the flowers/plants around the accommodation were absolutely beautiful. The property was natural and quiet, which gave us the island-feeling we were looking for. The staff was very helpful and especially the waiter was very courteous and served delicious breakfasts/dinners. The dining-room has as well a stunning view. We also liked, that over the bed was a hook for our mosquito-net.

IsraelThe villa that we gpt in the calibri hotel had bad odor and was smaller than we expected (the bathroom was too big comparing to the room). We asked tp change the room and were answered promptly so overall we had excellent exprience. I dont recommand to get a room on colibri but in chalet cote mer which is basicaly the same hotel but the room is different - much bigger and more comfortable
The location is great and the view from the room pool and restaurant are breathtaking. The room at cgalet cote mer is excellent value for money with beautiful balconi . The food in the hotel is excellent and we enjoyed relaxing swim at the endless pool every day before we ended the day which was great. The hotel is peacefull and quite and the stuff are so nice and made us feel at home

IsraelBeach towels would be nice (pool towels are provided, but not beach)
This is our second stay in Colibri, since we liked it so much the last time we were here. The view from the room's balcony, and basically from everywhere around the hotel is stunning! beautiful sea view, as well as the wonderful hotel gardens. The room is very secluded and quiet, you only hear the birds and the sea which is amazing. The breakfast is delightful! Among a nice menu selection, they make their own jams which change on a daily basis and always very tasty. They also have a great homemade yogurt which we really liked. The tables have a panoramic sea view, which makes the breakfast even greater! The dinner is always surprising - a 3 course meal which changes every day and high quality. Feels like in a chef's restaurant. There's also a decent size infinity pool overlooking the sea, as well as many lovely sitting areas. The staff are very nice and friendly. On our departure day, when we came back to pick up our left luggage, they even offered us to refresh in a dedicated room which included a private shower and a lounge.

SwedenInsects in the room due to poor isolation of the room. Breakfast very limited and the bread was dry. Had to pay extra money for cappuccino. Warning signs throughout the hotel room for extra costs (example “if sheets are stained they will impose a fee” and more). Half empty soap bottles at arrival, pooltowels switched only every third day. Very bad soundproof, we could hear our neighbours every words. Tortoises in a very small confined space outside hotel, did not seem like a good way to keep them at all, see pictures.
Beautiful garden and ocean view.

IsraelDidn’t think it was good value for money. Breakfast wasn’t good enough (had to request cheese and even then received only one type). They did not change our pool towels although they said they change it upon request. We came after 4 days of using the same towels asking them to replace them - they said they don’t have any clean once and the lady in the reception was not nice at all. Other than that the staff was nice. Also, they keep a few turtles caged - they looked really poor… had we known about the turtles in advance, we wouldn’t have come to this hotel.
Great view! Liked the pool although it is small.

IndiaWe had very high expectations from this property but sadly apart from the view that they have to over there's nothing that was pleasing during the stay. Accommodation : We stayed in the katiti room which is ocean facing room. The room was spacious but during the afternoon when we checked in it was hot and humid. Within the first 30mins we could feel the air conditioner not being able to cool the room. We called up reception, and the guy came in and asked to put the AC on 16deg and wait. When I told him that the cooling is not adequate and it requires maintenance he made some excuses regarding an AC technician. Instead, when after 15mins he agreed that the cooling was insufficient, he suggested the brilliant idea of putting a pedestal fan in the room for better comfort. Can you imagine, paying around 1000Euros for your stay in a hotel with such good reputation and reviews & having to settle for a fan during your stay. I already had lost my hope in having a good stay in this property on the very first day. The wifi in the hotel is not great. The lighting of the room was poor. Don't pack your bags after sunset. The rooms have no electronic lock and not even a do not disturb sign that you can put on your doors. They use lock and key which attached to a card that's used to initiate the electricity in the room. So a couple of knocks on your door and if you don't answer the staff will barge in thinking there's no one in the room. Restaurant : There is no room service. The restaurant serves a good breakfast from 7.30-9.30am. And if you want to have a very expensive dinner in the restaurant, you have to let them know at max by 4:00pm so tht they can serve you from 7pm onwards since they're not a 24/7 hotel your appetite needs to be on time. Reception : No reception from 6pm onwards till the morning . So settle your bills beforehand. Also, they can only afford to give two water bottles on the first day, only.

IrelandOn arrival you are immediately met with a list of rules and regulations. We were brought to our room which was full of bugs as the doors had been left open and we were soon alerted to the fact that the AC shuts down when you open the balcony door and when you take the key card out of the door. This made the room extremely uncomfortable. It was pitched as a eco friendly initiative but in fact it is like more draining on the environment by constantly turning on and off and it makes the room extremely uncomfortable to stay in. The fridge in the room also turns off when you remove the key card so anything stored in the fridge gets warm. Thankfully we noticed this with drinks and not food as I'm sure it's a health risk to store food in a fridge that is turned off when you leave the room. The room is full of warning signs and rules which really stand out as a negative. A simple book with these laid out would be far more pleasant. The worst of these is one that highlighted the dangers of the local area. Thankfully we paid no attention to this and went out around the area in which we found amazing people, culture and food. We had breakfast 2 out our 6 nights. It was possible the worst breakfast I have ever experienced. The egg options on the menu are precooked and reheated. I never thought it would be possible but the omelette was grey and cold in the middle. All other breakfast options were very poor and 2 days was enough for us, so we went to the local coffee shop instead. We had previously stayed in a hotel on Mahe in which we had enjoyed an evening swimming. This option was unavailable in Coilibri as the pool closed at 7pm and didn't open until 9am. The constant rules and restrictions just take away from the amazing island vibes of the Seychelles. Finally, there is an enclosure with 5 tortoises in it. They appear to be in very poor condition in comparison to others we seen throughout the island.
The location was beautiful. The balcony in the room was very nice to sit out on.

IrelandWe are displeased with the service during our stay. Checkout was between 10-10:30am and we were phoned just before 10am to check if we are leaving. One free dinner pp was advertised if the full amount was paid in advance however, upon arrival we were told we could avail of this if we paid fully in cash in advance. Despite the accommodation taking the full amount already by card. We said we would avail of that dinner and on the last day we were told we had to pay because we did not pay on the first day. We were clear on the first day and I hope the misinformation is avoided for future guests.
Good location, the room and surroundings were very nice.

IrelandThe location is not great, it's very close to the jetty but you need a car to get there. The restaurant is not always open for lunch and dinner, making a car even more essential. The illumination in the room was very dark, and areas of the property smell damp.
The property has good facilities, the pool area is very nice with a great view. Our honeymoon suite was pretty big and quiet, with a very nice balcony giving us privacy. Staff is friendly.

ItalyI personally believe the hotel is a bit expensive if compared to other options in the island and the services offered. The breakfast was a bit disappointing and with limited options, everyday the same, even if the lack of buffet might be due to the covid regulations. The room assigned was not the one in the pictures, but still nice.
Very good wifi and nice view. Also the staff was very kind, especially the the assistant manager who was very friendly and welcoming.

SwitzerlandWe wanted to pay in Seychelles Rupies but everything was in Euros. The drinks in the menu were in Rupies but at the end we had to pay in Euros which was way more with their own exchange rate. It is strange that you need to pay in Euros in a country with another curreny. This was for us not satisfiying and we spend at the end way more money. The location is far away from all restaurant and beaches. You need a car to do everything.
The honeymoon rooms are amazing with a great view.

United KingdomThe place requires a lot of attention when it comes to customer service. It all started when we arrived. The room assigned (which after looking around actually seems similar to most of them) is very dark and dingy with limited natural light (in morning hours). It obviously hadn’t been aired as it also smelt musty. This perhaps would have been ok but not for the rate you pay here. We asked if it was possible to change rooms and although during small talk when checking in it had been indicated they were not that busy, suddenly when we asked to view other rooms they were fully booked. We were informed that any refund or cancellation would be at full charge so we cut our losses and decided to stay the 5 nights booked. The overall experience continued to be mediocre and the management continued to be disappointing. The front of house staff were all very nice but it seems any decisions were made by a faceless manager who did not even come out and speak to clients. For example, we requested laundry for a few simple items - 3 of these came back completely ruined through what seemed like careless handling (high heat and iron burns). When we mentioned this as simple feedback, the immediate reaction was to point out the disclaimer even though we were not even asking for anything. What was more frustrating was that the front desk manager did then raise it to the manager who didn’t bother to come out of his office unless we were after some compensation. These two are the major things. The food is mediocre and a bit overpriced at €25 euro a head and if your not there by 7:30 or 8 you receive persistent calls to your room. The breakfast is ok but the coffee is awful.
The compound is nice and well maintained - makes you feel you are among nature.
