Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilThe costs are high, everything is expensive, but it looks like everywhere in Seychelles is like that. The mini fridge in the room isn't that good.
The hotel is Wonderful! Gorgeous ocean view. Practically on the beach. Our room was very large and comfortable

United KingdomService in the pool bar was a little slow Very expensive to have drinks brought to you by the pool, but you could go get your own and it wasn't far! Lack of seating at the sunset bar along the pier. This is the best feature of the hotel in the early evening and it looked shut, not encouraging you to stay and buy another drink. Service in this bar was hit and miss.
Great pool area and access to the beach. Clean, spacious rooms Comfy bed Toiletries provided were very nice Reception area was beautiful Buffet breakfast was the best of our trip Evening meal buffet never disappointed On site restaurant is worth booking for Staff were friendly Gardens were immaculate and tropical The view

United KingdomThe bathroom design, with a lack of a partition wall and sliding doors for the toilet, felt lacking in privacy. While I understand it may be part of the room's unique design, it may not suit everyone's preferences. Additionally, the steps in the room leading to the lower level posed a safety concern, especially for guests with small children. It would be beneficial to address this potential safety risk to prevent accidents. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Fishermen's Cove Resort and appreciated the excellent service provided by the staff. With some adjustments to the room design and safety considerations, it could be an even more enjoyable experience for all guests.
I recently stayed with my family at Fishermen's Cove Resort and overall had a pleasant experience. The location of the hotel, with direct beach access, was fantastic. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly attentive, professional, and welcoming. From the refreshing welcome drink to the personal welcome from the operation manager, their hospitality was exceptional. They even went out of their way to provide us with breakfast to go due to our early flight, which was much appreciated.

BulgariaThe hotel does not respond its category - it can be a very good 4 stars hotel, but definitely not 5 stars. All in all it is overpriced for the value it gives. There are many small details, which need to be improved: To reach the beach and the swimmable part of the sea, a small river needs to be crossed, but there is no bridge and you have to tread murky water, which is quite unpleasant. The pool is nice, but is rather tired - needs better maintenance and service. The restaurant is ok, but the atmosphere in the evening, due to the lighting mainly is not really inviting. When the hotel is full, the service suffers. Activities are offered on the territory of the adjacent hotel, which is truly 5 star hotel.
This is rather a small hotel situated at the west end of nice beach, Beau Vallon. We stayed in Junior Suite Ocean view. It has nice furnished terrace, which offers in deed very nice view to the ocean. Inside the space is open, divided in 2 almost equal parts - bedroom and bathroom, which are separated by a wardrobe only. The concept is actually nice, but the execution is not good enough - the shower does not have a door and when using the rain shower, the half of the bathroom floor becomes wet. The WC door is decorative and the privacy is rather limited.

BulgariaIf people do not like, they do not have good taste.Of course some things might be worn out, but style is style, a good concept is a good concept...
I like the whole concept, it is a hotel with tradition, long history / one of the first on the island/ and personnel is well trained.Food is delicious, I liked the French restaurant and also the buffet dinners-really compliments to the chef. The room with bath tub in the middle. The fact that the owner is the same as The Story hotel and they share facilities.

United KingdomFishermans Cove is one of the original hotels on the main island of Mahe. The staff are really nice and friendly. The food is very good. But...it does need some work done to it. It's sister hotel next door ( The Story Hotel) is new and modern. I would still stay at the Fishermans Cove though. It still has that 'old world charm' from the 70's.
Location. It's at the southern end of Beau Vallon beach. You canwalk along the beach (1.5 miles) to other beach side hotels. Snack & beach bars.

CanadaI had booked an ocean front room. When I arrived I had been "upgraded" to a mountainside room with a partial view - not what I had booked - and, not what I wanted. Check-in took too long (an hour) - likely while they re-arranged my booking.
Lovely property. I had a fabulous ocean front room. Lovely long beach to walk along. Nice pool. Friendly staff.

South AfricaThe restaurants at the resort and all drinks were extremely expensive compared to the rest of the island. We had better value, service and facilities on the other islands at resorts that were much cheaper.
Room was aged but comfortable, the breakfast had a lot of variety but was the same every morning. The beach was nice but certainly not one of the best beaches on the island. The location was close to markets and nearby restaurants.

IndiaIt's not on a beach. It's close to one, but you have to walk out of the property, cross a creek to get to the beach. At low tide there's some land visible but it's cordonned off. The walkway right in front of the sit out can take away a bit of the privacy. Fortunately there weren't too many guests walking around For some reason, the housekeeping staff never seemed to want to smile. Some of them did a good job, but it seemed they're unhappy and it spreads. Hope the management gets to the bottom of whatever is bothering them.
Very well located and stones throw from nearby bars and restaurants. The room (junior suite ocean view) was a neat one with a nice sit out. Reception staff friendly and helped with queries with a smile. Also the ones at the restaurant. Used their shower facility after checkout and it was quite well equipped. Breakfast spread was good with plenty of vegetarian options, though it can get boring over 5 days. It's also good to stay in the resort and order in.
