If you are looking for a modern, Scandi place, this may not be for you. It suited us very well.

Excellent hospitality. Dinner was especially good. Very good value for money. Very calm and relaxing as the location is away from the centre.

The people managing the property and the staff are amazing! Also the location is great, right across a small, but great beach. Also, it’a not far from the airport. As I was travelling by myself over Christmas days for a short stay, Marylene’s family kind of ,,adopted” me, so I didn’t feel alone. The food was great, the chef and also Marylene’s son, Bernard is a great one, the Christmas dinner and lunch were great and the fact that I got to spend it with their family was amazing. This place stole my heart cause of the warmth of the people. Asmita and Vinod who are the employees there was so warm and caring. I promised to return on my next trip there and can’t wait to see everyone again.

The room was outdated. We could hardly close the bathroom door, and there was a huge gap between the outside window and walls; you could hear all nature noises (which makes it a challenge to rest).

We enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was clean and well located for our plans. The staff was extremely friendly, they were kind and always there for us trying to make you feel at home. Last day, the staff prepared breakfast for us even though we had to leave early in the morning. It’s the small details that make a difference - loved it and very much appreciated it. We really recommend the villa if you want a bit of human warmth, attention, and feeling spoiled.

A bit expensive, like most other things on the Seychelles nowadays.

Very good place to stay. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, small but tasty selections for dinner. 15 minutes drive to Victoria and also to other places on the northern part of Mahe. Thank you Marylene, thank you Vinod + wife for a perfect week!

Our stay at Le Bonheur Villa has been wonderful. The swimming pool and breakfast are amazing. Chef Bernard cooks really tasty food for dinners. The villa is located in the North, close to Carana beach. It's location allows to catch the bus that travels around the island. It's also possible to arrange excursions in an easy way.

The rooms are dark and a bit outdated. Unfortunately, the prices for the diner are high. No safe in the rooms.

The diner was awesome! It was definitely the best diner we had during our stay at Seychelles. The chef is a real master. The staff is really lovely, they anticipate and care about everything and will support you directly. The host is really caring of guests and has a explicit sense for high level of service. There was some issue/misunderstanding with the room allocation, and Marlene was directly looking for an solution. She invited us for some drinks. Real/ good coffee for breakfast, not granulated.

Not much to say. They offer boat tours and day trips from the hotel which is great, it would just be helpful to have a flyer of the activity or a website, so you don’t just have to book something blindly.

Very friendly staff, the hotel is beautiful inside and outside, well maintained. Beach and ocean are right outside the front door, the pool is refreshing and provides a lovely spot for hanging out. Breakfast was delicious and homemade by our thoughtful waiter. Owned and surrounded by locals - perfect way to get to dive into the culture! We were first unsure about the location when we arrived, thinking it would be a hassle to get to Victoria and around the island but it isn’t. The bus stop is just around the corner by a supermarket and we took it all around to the city and the beach in Beau Vallon. The bus ride is an experience in itself that you don’t want to miss and totally worth the few cents you have to pay for it to get around. You can leave your car at home. Great experience, highly recommend - great value for money!

The position of the villa makes it absolutely mandatory to rent a car because it is relatively far (by Mahe standards) from any objective. Once the car is rented, there is the problem of parking, which is a small one, and in addition, the staff's cars are also parked there. We found the car scratched the very second day after we took it. As I said, the villa can be seen to have been a luxury property, but many facilities were not maintained and became outdated. From the door on the balcony that was very difficult to close to the sink on the left in the bathroom where the drain was not working properly, passing through the old switches and reaching the wooden shutters on the balcony, the villa would need a minimum of investment to bring it back to the desired standard. It's really worth it!

Le Bonheur Villa is a superb location. For our family of 5 people (adults), we made a reservation for 3 rooms, but we received an upgrade for one of the rooms to a suite. This is absolutely gorgeous because the room, the balcony and the bathroom are huge. The view from the balcony is of the pool and across the street to the ocean. The facilities are very good, although in many respects they are outdated and worn. The breakfast was island style (similar to the breakfast on Praslin and La Digue) but for us it was OK both qualitatively and quantitatively. The relationship with the staff was good and we appreciated this. The dinner taken at the location on the first evening was a very high-quality one (according to all reviews related to this topic). I warmly recommend for all those staying at the villa not to miss at least one dinner in the location. The cost is similar to any restaurant on the island, but the quality fully justifies it. We also appreciated that for an additional fee we could keep the suite for a late checkout because our departure flight was in the evening. If the opportunity arises, we will gladly return to Le Bonheur Villa.

An unexpected treasure find at the end of our holiday. Close to the secluded Carana Beach we were treated like gold. Warm, friendly hosts and staff that went out of their way to make you comfortable. The cherry on top is Chef Bernard whose relaxed restaurant meant that we had 5 star dining without having to leave the lodge. Best Prawn curry I've ever had! Thank you - we'll be back xx

Le Bonheur, Happiness… the name summarizes so well our stay. We had a great time in this lovely hotel. The owner is so charming and sweet. Her attention to details, her recommendation and her kindness were truly appreciated. The team is also very sweet and dedicated to clients happiness. The Chef cooks amazing food which were truly amazing. We know as a fact that we’ll stay again when visiting Seychelles next time. Big Bravo Le Bonheur !

The villa is great. The room was cleaned every day and beach towels were left for us to use. The location is nice and peaceful, there are quite a few beaches nearby. The food was just delicious and made fresh for us each time. The breakfast was tasty too. But the most amazing thing about our stay here was the staff. They were so nice, so friendly and were ready to help with whatever! We loved everything and if we ever come back to Seychelles we'll definitely stay here again!

It was the same selection every day. The food was very poor.

Breakfast was fair nothing to get excited about. Dinner was awful that I got food poising, and when I went and bought food from outside restaurant the manager was very rude to me. There was black mold in the shower and bathroom and the tiles in the shower were painted and the paint was peeling off the tiles.

Wifi is not fast, but it is fast enough for whatsapp, reading news and social media! (We did not visit the Seychelles for internet speed so it is not a real problem)

Marylene and her Staff don't try to be a hotel or just an accomodation,... they try to make your stay worthwhile! Bernard & his Staff create dinners which are absolutely amazing. We are fairly "picky" eaters and after three meals we just asked him to create something we like, the results have been amazing! Marylene and her staff are always around, if you need anything they will try everything to make it happen: - fruit platter in the afternoon we had once - We did not want to book a rental car and Marylene offered to organize one. - We declined the offer and asked her if she could just organize taxis for us when we need (taxis are rather expensive and sometimes hard to get a hold of) so she sometimes just drove us herself! When we arrived she asked us what we want to do during the stay and we had no clue so she did suggest and organize a few trips. We had the Suite and it's size is absolutely huge! In the Suite every item has charme and Marylene has a story or two to tell about things.
