The beach is one of the best beaches in Mahe. the restaurants are amazing. Traders Vics is exceptional. Live music was an added joy.

Could not fault it.

Beautifully designed hotel, although big, it never felt like a large resort more a boutique hotel, gardens are gorgeous and well maintained. The food in all restaurants is good and our favourite was Traders Vic. The staff was professional and helpful but the special mention is necessary to all amazing girls at the reception, especially the lovely Shamira who made our stay even more unforgettable! We booked another hotel nearby for the second leg of our stay but after checking it in person we decided to come back to the Story instead.

Not great value for money - drinks at bar expensive and restaurants very expensive. Also, there are some boulders (famous in the Seychelles) in the gardens which are fake and you can see the holes in them. They need tidying up / repairing.

Tennis court needs a bit of updating. Beach is quite choppy and not the best in Mahe but not much the hotel can do about that! Breakfast staff could be a bit more cheery (apart from the guy he was friendly).

Beautiful pool! Good choice of restaurants on site. Impressive building / pretty grounds. Great size room (even the standard ones) and comfy bed Offered us a late check out at 3pm which was much appreciated and we didn’t have to ask for it

The pool towels were a bit of a problem. They were always out of towels after 2 pm.

The door for the toilet in the room didn't completely closed and was half see through, so there is no option for privacy while using the toilet.

We had a great stay, the staff was very nice, delicious breakfast with sea view, amazing pool and great option for eating outside around the hotel.

the restaurants are limited. during the dinner we were forced to dine in the only opened restaurant, the service and the food quality was poor.

Naj was very welcoming and polite, I got upgraded to a room with a pool because it was my birthday.

The cocktails weren't great and our meal at the in-house restaurant Eden was a bit disappointing given how expensive it was. I wouldn't recommend eating there.

The breakfast was the best we'd ever experienced in a hotel - the range of options was incredible! The range of activities on offer was great too. Snorkelling, yoga, kayaking, excursions - we were never bored!

Service in the buffet restaurant and where breakfast is served was sometimes extremely slow.

The accommodation and location was first class. We had a Beach villa which was perfect. The reception area and reception staff were very helpful. Everywhere throughout the hotel was very clean.

Overall, the food and drinks were really good in all the restaurants we tried, however the buffet dinner was very expensive and no beverages were offered, not even water.

We just came back from our week stay in Story Seychelles and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is just wonderful, clean, drowning in greenery, surrounded by wonderful views of the mountains and the ocean, and with great facilities. The location is amazing, directly at the beautiful Beau Vallon beach. The pool is gorgeous, and in the Spa we got excellent massages (very recommended). There are several nice restaurants and bars in the hotel, which serve good food and drinks. However, the highlight was the service! From the moment we entered we were amazed by how welcoming, friendly and kind the entire staff were. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday and they were kind enough to give us a few special treats for the occasion. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience, we cannot wait to come back!

Walking from the hotel to other places or restaurants along the Beau Vallon beach is either on the sand or on the road. There is no sidewalk or promenade.

Great hotel, the rooms are amazing and the service was very good as well. We received wonderful gifts for our honeymoon including a short free massage (!) and breakfast on the beach.

Food and drink prices are very high. Finding an available spot at the pool was tough, especially if you want a place in the shade. Some areas of the beach are very rocky, I think the resort should warn guests about that as I got some bruises on my feet.

Beautiful resort, very well kept. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved the bath. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

The prices of the food in this hotel are ridiculous. The prices at the seychelles are generally high because of the import, but this hotel managed to double it. We had a buffet meal, a bottle of water, one glass of wine and one glass of beer. We had to pay €160 euro's for this meal. Even the half of this price would be expensive. A service fee of 10% is standard included in the price, wich is ridiculously high considering the prices. I would never tip €16 euro at a buffet. The music playlist at the beach is awfull. There's a lot of good music on the islands, but it is not to be found near the pool of this hotel.

The rooms are very beautifull. The hotel is located directly at the beachfront. We enjoyed a breakfast at the beach at the day of our leave, at the suggestion of the hotel. We also received a free dinner at the buffet and some drinks at the room. The staff is very friendly and will do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. Free champagne during breakfast!
