The traffic to get into the centre of town was a struggle with the narrow roads. Not a problem if your intention is to enjoy the views and delicous meals at Villa Kalisat though.

Simply stunning views of the jungle and river. It was so relaxing reading by the pool and views. Exceptional team (thanks Bene!) that made my stay feel like a home for the two nights I stayed. Rice terraces were nearby too.

There is a waterfall There is a rather disappointing waterfall (the water is dirty and a lot of garbage) the path to which is challenging due to poor condition or lack of the steps)

A gorgeous place surrounded by small charming villages and beautiful nature. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Very tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Fantastic place

The view was naturally stunning, the staff are lovely and generous (they treat us like family) the food was delicious and well presented. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she is friendly and knowledgeable. Chandra has magic hands for massage and river sounds in the background add to the experience. A little piece of paradise here away from the busy town. We hope to return one day

That I couldn’t stay forever.

Absolutely everything. I was searching for somewhere high up, and definitely got that. The views, the outdoor spa, our room (monkey) oh my days the food! What else? The absolutely faultless staff. I can’t express how well we were looked after at Villa Kalisat. I wish with all my heart we had stayed longer. 5 nights just weren’t enough. Adik, you beautiful gentleman, we miss you, and Dewa, impeccable management with kindness and thought in everything, every day 🙏🏼 Chindra, my treatments will stay with this 50 year old body forever 🩵 Beni, what a special place you’ve created for us all. I was hoping for somewhere with soul and Kalisat blew my mind. Thank you all so much x

Everything was great except the stairs. (though they did carry our luggages up them which was great)

The hotel went way over my expectations. You are both in the jungle and very close to the center. The breakfast was great along with the dinner and lunch menus. The staff is very friendly and doing their best to host you as well as possible. Don't bother to pre-arrange tours - Dewa and Adik will do that for you including arranging a driver, and you'll get to see everything with a much smaller budget. The massages were also heavenly!

The hotel's location is perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat close to Ubud centre. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet conveniently close to the vibrant cultural attractions, Villa Kalisat offers the best of both worlds. The lush surroundings and serene atmosphere create a tranquil haven that instantly transports you away from the stresses of everyday life. The room was spacious and clean. The décor and the attention to detail was evident. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view from my private terrace. Overlooking the lush rainforest, I was treated to mesmerizing sunsets and the soothing sounds of nature. It felt like a true escape from reality.

Our room was not as cool as what we would have liked but that is just us.

Villa Kalisat is absolutely amazing. This family owned villa is set in a quiet serene area in Ubud. Beautiful views, spacious room, great food and most importantly amazing staff. Dewan, Candra and Adik were extremely helpful in arranging transportation to and from our adventures, and they even offered to close the spa later so that we could have massages since we were running late. We loved staying here!

During high season like Christmas week, it is pretty hard to get a share ride driver due to remote location though hotel can provide a local driver as an alternative solution.
