How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There isn't anything we didn't like.
All was good. Reception staff were very helpful, dinner and breakfast was included. Dinner was buffet and from hot meat was only chicken but that was enough. There were potatoes and a lot of different cuts and salads and little things. Drinks had to be purchased separately. We enjoyed everything. Nothing to fault. The bed was comfortable.

Everything was amazing, from checking in to check out. I was at Christmas eve there but the staff are all there to support us and being very helpful. I wish all the best for them. The room is quite spacious and I got the view to the church. I can see my car parked there. The parking space is somehow limited. The food is great and quiet complete. I had a great dinner and breakfast.

Very nice hotel, very central. Cozy environment and spacious rooms. The diner and breakfast were very good.

Even though they wete nicely furnished the rooms felt sparse. But I am just being picky.
Staff were wonderful. Everything was explained well on check-in when they found i had an early flight they offered a breakfast take away bag which was there in the morning. Coffee available all day and a meal included for dinner, meant I did not have to go out.

Comfortable hotel with underground parking (extra charge). Dinner was included in the price and was a bit light on, but it was enough. Location was great.

The room doors on the second floor are very squeaky. Our neighbours started walking back and forth at 6.30 in the morning, so no good sleep for us. Please put some oil on the doors :)
Great value for money! This hotel offers a good dinner included in the price, the guests are also welcome to have complimentary afternoon tea with waffles. Our room was very spacious and clean.

We missed having a dresser in our room. We prefer putting our clothes in drawers rather than living out of a suitcase.
Breakfast was fine. The soft boiled eggs were always overcooked. Location was fine. The woman who seemed to be in charge was delightful and helpful.

The rooms can get a little warm during summer days. But overall was still comfortable!
Excellent stay. The hotel was at a very central location. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, I was most impressed and happy about the option for dinner at the hotel. This makes everything so much more convenient as compared to always having to go out to a restaurant, especially since the food served was good! Breakfast and dinner being included makes this great value for money as well. Highly recommended!

The rooms were not so silent, but although I could hear doors opening and closing I had a great sleep.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms, good parking below the hotel. I enjoyed the dinner which was included in the price.

Not really a huge problem, but having a facility to make tea/coffee in the rooms would really make things perfect.
Can't really fault anything - you really feel valued as a guest, the service is wonderful, rooms are comfortable and the free dinner is very much appreciated.

I would have loved to have slightly more food selection at dinner, but what was offered was good. They advertised waffles in the afternoon, but it was a very simple plate of cookies instead. The price for the parking garage was a little high, though I'm thankful for the convenience.
Very convenient location and very friendly service. It was a huge bonus to have dinner included in the evening and it was lovely to end our day with some time in the sauna.
