The building next door is still under construction and the lights never turn off so it was hard to remain asleep without an eye mask, and I was woken by loud construction sounds. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere before I booked or when I arrived. The pillows gave me neck ache (they don’t vary in softness, only size). Breakfast is ok but far too crowded; it should open earlier than 8 on Saturdays because everyone went down at once. While the hotel is very quiet, this depends on the politeness of other guests. I could hear people laughing loudly down the hall and any word said in the hallways can be heard in the rooms, and it can be felt when doors are closed and if people run in the hallway (this didn’t bother me too much, but might lighter sleepers). The burger I tried at the rooftop bar was not tasty at all, just ok. Be aware that the hotel is not near the centre and you need to take a bus, and that the road with the bus stops is undergoing major roadworks so Google is wrong when it comes to finding the bus stops (as of early May 2024).

The hotel is beautiful. The room was lovely, very clean, and the scent in the bathroom was nice. There being an iron was useful. Karen at the front desk was amazing in recommending things to do. The hotel was very quiet. I really liked the lighting in the room and the colour scheme. Great view from the rooftop bar, and delicious food in the Chinese restaurant. The airport bus (direction Lindholmen) stops and picks up nearby.

Some standard rooms do not have closets, night stand with drawers or storage space and lack room to open a suitcase, leaving the only option of the bed. Also, the rooms were way too hot, and the thermostat did not override the room.

During the weekend it was really busy during breakfast time and it was a bit of a challenge to find a table to sit but nothing major to ruin the mood. Otherwise no complaints

We loved the room with the view over the harbor and the breakfast was amazing. Plenty of options for lactose and gluten intolerant. There is complementary coffee outside breakfast time which was nice to have and take to go.

It would be nice if the top roof bar was open to 23.00 instead of closing already at 22.00.

I particularly liked the gym and Yoga room - better at most other hotels I have stayed at!!

- AC in the room was too hot and we couldn’t adjust it - Bar opening timetable was extremely hard to find anywhere, and bar was only open Thursdays and Fridays - Would be good to have a jacuzzi in the relax area - More information on the surrounding transportation would be appreciated. A ferry runs just outside the hotel which wasn’t indicated on google maps.

Nice modern hotel. Friendly staff. Spacious quiet room with comfy bed and pleasant view. Breakfast was great with a wide choice of delicious food. There is a gym and a spa as well, but we, unfortunately, didn't have time to visit.

Location is a bit far away, so you need to go via bus most likely, which can get a bit tricky late at night. Because of the location as well the winds were fairly strong and combined with frozen ground and snow it felt a bit dangerous getting in or out.

Hotel is very clean and staff is super helpful - Breakfasts are really good and varied. Bar had some very decent food and the staff was accommodating when requesting some things that we needed late at night

Not really a negative, this hotel is located away in a quiet area from the city centre but has quick and easy transport to the Gotenburg city centre, 8mins by bus and the stop is very close to the hotel. Don’t let the location put you off this is a very nice hotel.

The Clarion pier is a beautiful hotel, very clean comfortable and new. Excellent Breakfast and great view of the city and harbour. We found it great value for money, and the staff were really helpful and informative.
