How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our room was advertised as being overviewing the park and in fact it was overviewing the technical pateo of the hotel, so not so nice. Also, the beds were very soft for us but I know this is cultural.
We loved the location of the hotel as it was very central. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very nice and helpful.

The room was a little small the access to the shower too high and slippery. The amenities were not replaced once used

No lotion. Hygiene kit(toothbrush) were insufficiebt. Telephone was'nt working, it was inconvenient to contact the reception area.
It's very pleasant ambiance. Staff were accomodating, smooth check-in. Breakfast was great too.

A more firm bed, natural lighting at breakfast.
The breakfast was excellent for a Scandinavian hotel. Everything you could possibly imagine as far as food options. I liked the cosy basement with relaxing jazz music to ease into the morning. The room was comfortable for a single person, the bonus was the bathtub which I made good use of. Nice renovated bathroom and tidy functional room. The best was a bit soft but a bonus that I could choose a pillow to suit me, I like a hard pillow and bed. It was nice to be able to open the window and let it fresh air. Fantastic location, I could walk to all the tourist sites and saved money this way. Good bars and restaurants around. I highly recommend the Flower Shop for one of the best cocktails I've had in Sweden.

The interior of the rooms is a bit dated, the breakfast area is very dimly lit and weirdly designed. We first got a room that wasn't cleaned properly but the staff changed it after complaining, the only unfortunate bit was that the new room was smaller but clean nonetheless.
The location is great and the breakfast is solid. Kind staff.

Facilities a little dated but the hotel is full of charm. We highly recommend it, especially for location, breakfast and attention of the staff
The hotel location is perfect to visit Stockholm. Extremely central, in an elegant part of the city and in a beautiful building. The rooms are a bit small and the mattresses a bit old. The breakfast was incredible and the hotel featured a private sauna perfect to relax after a day out in the cold. We had a problem the last day due to wrong communication given to us on arrival - the hotel staff has been outstanding in proposing a solution which went beyond our expectations. A particular thank you to the Front Office Manager for taking good care of us

No lights in the main bedroom, no bedside power supply, very small bathroom with very low water pressure in the shower.
OK room, renovated some years ago (before they invented bedside power or USB access). Good breakfast.

Staff at breakfast buffet was not helpful and couldn’t offer guidance in English for gluten free options. The breakfast buffet hardly offers gluten free breakfast suitable for celiacs.

It was nice, a little dated and room was a bit small, especially the bathroom
Great location and very near the metro station which made exploring the city very convenient. We stayed in a bigger room, which was still quite snug. Clean and comfortable though, I would say the standard rooms would be quite small.
