The shower, there is no proper "stopper" for the water and flooding the toilet floor is way too easy. Being mindful of the stream helps but it's not really relaxing.

The location is good, staff is service minded and welcoming. The breakfast was great, added specialties such as the Christmas food was appreciated.

The bed was a little bit hard for me and the pillows were not so good. I saw too late that I could have changed pillow in the reception.

The reception staff were very helpful when focused but were easily interrupted by others who were less patient and who didn’t queue. My room was dirty upon arrival and not ready to be occupied although I’d been given the room key. However the hotel staff handled this very well and very kindly provided a complimentary bottle of wine whilst my room was being cleaned.

The breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff generally were very helpful and the hotel was in a very good central location. The pub/restaurant attached to the pub was great although very crowded at times.

The lake view rooms are on the road and rail line side so might be noisy for some. Ear plugs are provided and rooms are well glazed: it was not a particular issue for me but if you are a light sleeper, it may be a consideration as the trains do run quite constantly well into the night and from the early morning.

Great location - really close to the station and restaurants: we visited the University and that was easy to get to as well. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and the lake views were gorgeous! Breakfast was spectacular. The pub within the hotel was great and had a lovely traditional pub atmosphere with an amazing selection of craft beers and whiskeys.

You need to pick a room at the front of the building, in case you have normal hearing and prefers to sleep with an open window. The ventilation at the back provides a loudness you would like to avoid.

For the size of the hotel there should be another lift and with icons that explain the operation (the room card is needed to control the lift). The installed lamps are not all working - either remove it or make work please.

The breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty of choices. The whole hotel has a nice interior, a good mix between practical use and still a design that fits with the historic building.

Unfortunately, the smell in the bathroom was very unpleasant and there were flies. Even though the room was generally clean, the bathroom ruined the good impression. Breakfast was ok, but they definitely could provide more options for vegans.

It is located very close to a parking and very close to the lake. Also, the building itself is quite interesting, it's not a generic hotel but it looks like a historic building. The rooms are really big, way above an average hotel room. The staff was very nice and helpful and they let us stay a but longer than the agreed check-out hour.

The hotel is close to the lake, on a perfect spot near parks and lake channels. We have arrived with dog, and by this way there was no possibility to have lake view room, which is actually fine, due to the inner side of the building is really calm and quite. The room was large and we got for the dog drinking/feeding plates. The corridor is really wide and easy to access the rooms. Breakfast has variety for all of the people who has some kind of allergies: lactose, gluten, vegetarian, vegan etc.

The windows could have been cleaner to get an ever better view, it was very noicy from the close by restaurants at night so dont go here on a friday or saturday.
