I stayed for a week and enjoyed the stay very much. It’s a grand, old building with spacious rooms. Very clean and the furniture is modern and comfy. The breakfast is very good and the lobby bar serves drinks until late. There is free parking included and the location is right between a park and the city center.

First Hotel Christian 4 is in a perfect position to explore Kristianstad, right next to the bus and rail stations but without any noise from either. The whole town; restaurants, bars, shops are within easy walking distance and the park and Nature reserve across the road are a great place to relax and spot wildlife.

Room is old style, with carpet everywhere. The first day the room was not super clean, I found long hairs and something more on the floor. The smell in the room was not good. Of course all of these issues are coming from the carpet. Also, the breakfast was not great and the coffee machine was broken the first day; very funny episode is that the waitress asked us to go at the reception to pick up the coffee.

not a you gle couples fiest choice, rooms are old and cold. there were no carpets in the rooms, walls are thin, i woke up in the middle of the night someone watching television for hours and hours. bathroom was a disaster defineatly needs renovation. breakfast service was ok, not so much variety compared to other places in similar price point.

It has had it times despite being ancient. At arrival we received an up-grade. My room was a two-room appartment with a couch but no place to store close. The room had a strong odor and was dark blue, the sleeping room had almost no light. The shower needs a make-over.

It looks lovely from the outside and impressing from the inside. I loved the free tickets to the bath across the roads, the breakfast was decent, my room was quite big and cosy on the first sight. It was a comfortable bed.

Carpet was so old, looked grubby. hadn't been hoovered very well either. Shower still had hair in. If you're a light sleeper, get a room not giving on main Street, very noisy.

Best bedding (comfortable mattress, best pillows ever, cosy duvet). Brilliant breakfast with lots of choice in pleasant room. And very nice staff

The property is only partially renovated. Unfortunately, there were no superior rooms available and the standard room that we were assigned was clean but in dire need of repair.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were great. The location was excellent. A short walk to train & bus and very close to a wonderful park and nature persevere.
