Dinner quite expensive..

Floating Sauna was lovely, room spacious with a river view. Food was great.

I really don't have anything bad to say. But if I would make any suggestions, maybe think of some more substantial pillows (though the bed was really comfortable), and also maybe a minifridge to keep beverages and snacks cool. Last but not least, maybe find somewhere for a small gym for your guests. Just some food for thought!

It's always wonderful to get good service in Sweden (as it can't be taken for granted)! The staff a Hotel Furusund was exceptional! They were super accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as it could possibly be! For that alone, I will give them 5 stars. Beyond that, the hotel is located in one of the most idyllic parts of the Swedish archipelago, it was a famous artist community at the turn of the century. There is lots to see, or you can just relax and take the views from the hotel. Recommend a room with a view! The restaurant goes out of its way to serve inventive dishes that are quite delicious. The breakfast buffet is also one of the best I've had. I will be back! Thank you so much!

It is certainly expensive. But when consider in its context, it is reasonably priced. (If it was 25% cheaper we would probably go much more often. It is really one of my favorite places out there.)

This is the second time we come to the Furusund hotel and we are looking forward to coming back again. We have always done a lot of trips in almost all other European countries and we find that in Sweden, outside Stockholm, finding hotel choices of high standard is sadly very hard, they tend to be extremely overpriced, come linked with "experiences" that are mostly about drinking in well-decorated bar areas or sharing a spa with people who are drinking (drinking alcohol in the spa seems to be a highly valued activity) and we usually regret going. This is not the case here. This place is simple and beautiful. Elegant but no frills. Has everything you need (including a spa area if you are so inclined) in the nicest location. It is clean, the wifi works well, and it is overall a very relaxing experience. The best part is the food. Best breakfast ever, really pleasant. Last time we had dinner also (this time we were busy somewhere else) and I still remember it.

The location is perfect to enjoy the nature on Furusund Island, meals and breakfast are generous and tatsy. The staff is very kind and attentive of our expectations

Our dog loved the bar area so much that he wouldn't want to leave. However, he did not appreciate that there was no elevator.

Personnel made us feel like home: very accommodating and gently interested in our experience. We also loved the view to the sea and the beautiful decoration.

There were shortcomings in the restaurant and the service! Breakfast was bad. I asked for a simple cake as it was my wife's birthday but they said it was not available. They served cake in breakfast and fika.

I am satisfied enough! The woman at the reception was nice.

The main lights of the room did not work, there was a huge lamp on top of the bed that was not usable and a standing lamp close to the sofa that was also unusable. The heating is not centralized so you depend on yourself turning on the hot air, which works of course (also seems like there is AC in the summer, which is great!). The bathroom floor is not heated and can get cold (which won't be a problem in the summer). If you happen to arrive early want to check in, they will charge you. The price of the dinner is higher than what is written in the web, however: it is a SUPERB dinner.

This is one of the best hotels (if not the best) we have stayed in Sweden. Sweden does not have the tradition of hospitality that can be found in other European countries so it is rare to find good hotels outside the main city and those found usually are very expensive, focus on "experience" packages (which is mostly alcoholic/spa), and they tend to lack cleanliness. This one was spotless and could have been located in Switzerland. The room was beautiful, there was free water, the view was very nice and the restaurant top level. We slept well and had a fantastic breakfast. And the area is just amazing. Looking forward to come back in other seasons!

Decorated in a Swedish, cozy style. Great restaurant, super friendly staff! We really enjoyed staying here and felt at home during our entire stay. We also loved the floating sauna & whirlpool.

Some issues with the room lightning (couldn’t turn on light in the bathroom for some time and lights turned on in room at night just by itself) and some bad smells in the bathroom (cigarette and food smoke), but that’s not so frustrating.

Nothing really, perhaps a little low water pressure in the shower for someone with a lot of thick hair to be able to rinse it well.

Newly renovation of the rooms, modern but still a classic design, nice air-condition, comfortable beds. Amazing food and excellent service.

The picture of a superior double room shows a sea view which we didn't have. The "double bed" is actually two beds tied together, not a double bed at all. When you wait for 20 minutes at an empty reception to check in, you expect to at least get a "thank you for waiting"; which we didn't get. As for the interior, facilities and service (just like with most Swedish hotels) number of stars doesn't really match the standard of what you'd get in Western or Southern Europe: three stars would be more appropriate for this one. There's nothing to do in or around the hotel apart from walking around the area. 1400 kr (140€) for dinner for two felt overpriced. Breakfast was average.

Nice location with relaxing surroundings. Kind staff. Tasty food.
