Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThere are no restaurants for evening meals or cooking facilities. We didn’t have to go too far (10 min walk) to find a pizzeria but if you want more you would have to get a bus or drive into Linköping

United StatesIt was a little challenging to locate the building; I originally entered the building that has rooms 1-6. For future reference, it would be helpful to maybe provide a little diagram of the building location relative to the streets. Of the 3 bathroom bottles of soap/conditioner/shampoo, 2 of 3 were empty and the 3rd was close to empty. Lastly, the even though the wi-fi userid/password were provided, the wi-fi didn't seem to be on. I sent an email to the proprietor when we got into our room asking about the wi-fi; even as of checkout there was no response. These were not significant issues, rather more unnecessary nuisances.
I loved the size of the room --- there was plenty of space for us to open/unpack our luggage a bit as well as still move around the room and not step on each other. The bed was very comfortable, the windows provided very nice fresh air. I also appreciated being on the second floor -- although at first I thought it inconvenient, I came to realize the inconvenience of lugging luggage up one flight of stairs was significantly overridden by the ability to leave windows open without concern that someone could reach in, and to not realize the potential noise that could come from a guest unwittingly walking around with heavy feet overhead. If you're looking for a peaceful place to rest your head for the evening, this is a great place --- it seems everything closes up early evening so the area around the property is pretty much a ghost town; which is great if you're not interested in doing anything but using the room as a base to sleep. You will not be able to go out for a snack, meal or beverage within the walkable area.

Chinaif you have a big suitcase, the road from the bus station to the hotel might not be very friendly. The path is a stone path. And do not wear shoes that are too thin unless you want t get a foot massage And I think it is too long to wait for hot water if you want to have a shower.
The hotel is located in Gamla Linköping, an open-air museum to show how the Swedish lived in the old times. It is close to the University of Linköping (about a 20-30 min walk), and you must pass through a forest. It is worth staying here if you like rural style, nature, and scenes like a TV drama. The decoration in the room is also adorable. very Nordic country style.

SwedenBecause the room is in an old wooden house, it can get extremely noisy when people staying in the room above walk.

United StatesIf I was taller like 6'3" or more, I would hit my head a lot on the low ceiling and low doorways. My luggage did not have enough large wheels to roll all the way to the room from the parking on the cobble stones.

GermanyThe hotel was really beautiful and we were totally thrilled. Nestled in the museum village, it has a very special charm. The atmosphere was absolutely great and cosy. It's only a 2 minute walk from the car park, so that's no problem at all. The room was large and the bathroom very comfortable. The ceilings are not that high, given the age of the buildings, but that didn't bother us. At breakfast the staff were incredibly lovely. Our son got sick, so we had to leave quickly and they packed us extra things for breakfast. That was so great. Thank you so much! We can only recommend the hotel and the museum village. It is a very beautiful location!
